emm, this was my ex company. (long time ago la) which is a AP company. biggrin.gif

since you have faith in them, go for it, but just make sure, everything is perfectly original. (make sure you get your avaxx warranty card and phone + box's IMEI is matched)

if they offer you some sort of 24 months warranty, reject them, that's a AP warranty. (warranty by the shop)

It is the truth. Its not really a nice place to shop unless you know the place and the people well. But anyway the standard procedures applies.

1. Check the phone's IMEI serial number and whether it match the label on the box. Try to remember the digit.
2. Check the warranty label and card
3. Check the phone condition for any cosmetic rejects.
4. Check the phone in operation. Check LCD for any dead pixels.
5. Make some calls, search on bluetooth and WIFI.
6. Play some music and check the speaker.
7. Check the keypads.
8. Take some picture and see if the power LED/flash is working.
9. Etc...

They can't cheat on you if you know what you are looking for. Stick to your principles and requirements. No tolerance. They may give excuses, take nothing but your insistence. Otherwise you have just opened up more opportunities with other traders - by walking away. Do it in polite though. Be courteous and don't have the attitude of CUSTOMER ALWAYS RIGHT. Thats being unreasonable. biggrin.gif
We can be reasonable and smart at the same time.

Just display a black background and check for bright pixels. Then display a white background and check for black/dark pixels. Problematic pixels are like a tiny dot in the middle of everything. Checking the LCD can be tedious and time consuming. It depends on the extend you willing to check. For me, I'll just display a picture and then check every surface of it. If there are no problems, it should be ok. Anyway you're getting an original Nokia, so if got problem can always send it back.

sometimes different parts are manufactured by different companies...probably nokia just assembles all of it.

Yeah, but the final outgoing QC is Nokia's responsibilities. After all it is their product and it is their responsibility to ensure no defect units goes into its product line. Which brings me to think that it is possibly a rushed product. Or maybe thats the what we get for paying RM13xx for a phone with high-end features.

Yes, send to Nokia Care center. If you are in KL, the place is Berjaya building and no cost will be involved. I think they will scan your phone for the serial number to lookup on their database for verification.
Its not on sale here yet. But I've seen on Ebay a Hong Kong seller is making a soft material plastic shell for it. Very nice fitting and its not like those crystal cases which makes a phone look cheap.

By the way any new of firmware update? Wait until neck also long. hahaha!
*
crystal casing could scratch your phone later on.. silicone quite alright for a touchscreen but doesn't look nice on normal phones. Better get leather flip type, book type or pouch
