QUOTE(rock_world @ Dec 28 2008, 11:56 PM) new grey e71 user here..as a newbie i have many question.. i believe the installation runs but it is mainly checking if all require software is installed. only the first time switching on will take a long time. then it will be fine. but anyway, normally it won't pop up installation unless it is incomplete the previous time. so maybe u shud jus let it complete the whole process then it shud be fine di.1 of them why my e71 keep installing when i switch off and on everytime? |

Guys, my E71 can only last around 2 days, for normal usage.
Not a lot of call, a little while internet surfing. It that normal? How long does your battery last? |

QUOTE(vincent_ng86 @ Dec 29 2008, 01:36 AM) Guys, my E71 can only last around 2 days, for normal usage. mine last for 3 days..same usage like yours..maybe try to change the network mode from 'dual mode' to 'GSM'..according to some forumer here, it does save a lil bit of battery..and also check whether there's any application running on the background (press and hold the 'home' button for a few seconds)..and as jameslee said on the previous thread, never charged overnight..meaning, once its full, plug out the charger..Not a lot of call, a little while internet surfing. Mine could last 6-7 days with very minimum usage. 1-3 smses/day and a few mins of talk time perday and very light wifi usage. I only charge the battery when drained to 1 level and stop charging it after full charge. It took me about a month to reach this battery level.

With regards to the "everytime restarting you get an installation message".. Thats most likely coz of an unsigned *.sis application you have installed on your device. If you want more info let me know.. I'll see what I could surf up..
Been using the E71 for the past 5/6 months now.. An excellent phone no doubt! But will also love to know if anyone has any knowhow on the follows: 1) What media players do you use on your E71 to play .FLV and other common files..? 2) is it possible to eliminate the flash completely cos when i take pictures of my dogs her eyes turn white (by julnoel) |
