change the "shortcut" or change the "icon"?

change "shortcut" is easy, just go to Setting -> Switch Mode -> ... ...
(no E71 on my hand, can't give u clearer instruction)

change "icon" not that easy,
better forget about it,
if the icon is too urgly, just put it at bottom right soft-key.
(not putting left soft-key because each time pressing will delay abit, due to lock key-pad)

just updated my firmware yesterday....
its 210.21.006....
i dont know wuts the changing from my old 1...
but it solved my email prob....

i encounter that a "@" alway appear below the battery bar on the main screen alway i use the nokia email. it still appear even i exit the email application. kindly help!

i think all phone nowaday which support j2me (some kind of java platform) can use opera mini advanced.

just open and read all your email,
or mark all your email as read,
problem will solve...

i just get mine silver grey on last sunday... happy switching from SE....

btw, i found out sometimes when i press the menu button or home shortcut key, it will still display the "front page" of the phone, didnt go into the menu page, i tried many ways for few times, but still cant... only way need to restart the phone then only can go into the menu page...

anyone facing this also?

is there any software which able to enable chinese support on e71? i got an e71-3 but if i chg its product code to asian, the keyboard gone haywire. any suggestion? i tried fontrouter but it keep saying certificated error although i hav signed it. thx in advance..

have anyone of you all, get shock by electric, when charging the phone, and take it to sms or make call...i mean the housing will easily get electric ? because my nokia 6300 at the back cover(metal)will get shock everytime when i charge my phone then sms or make calls. so i wonder e71 will be the same too ?

Last time I also having this problem. It happens when I upgraded the phone version (previous version) where I took out the memory card (2Gb) and replace with the one that I got when I bought the phone (128Mb). I did this because I afraid I will lost all the information/files that I stored in that memory card (2Gb). Before that, I do some back up as proposed by the updating software. When I finished updating the phone version, I switched back the memory card (from 128Mb to 2Gb) and the problem (keep installing softwares that are stored in memory card) starts happen.

Last two weeks, I updated the phone version again to latest one (210.21.006). This time after do the back up using Nokia PC Suite, I kept the memory card (2Gb) in the phone and start updating until completed (after several times tried). After completed, my phone is like new. Factory setting. Then I restored the data using Nokia PC suite. All the setting back to previous one (before updating) and I got no more problem of keep installing if I switch off/on the phone.

For you guys who are having this problem, try to back up your data using Nokia PC Suite then restore back. If you success.. then good for you but if it is fail.. nice trying. I just give some idea on how to solve this problem.
