i need to know more about the phone before buy it.
it does sychronize with outlook, right? contact, calendar, task, and others.
does it difficult to change the home layout?
compared to windows mobile, i think symbian os is not easy to customize things.

try MyPhoneExplorer (Google please) to save/export sms in one file in computer. mms not suopported.

how many color available for e71? black one not nice eh?

Today use my E71 to take picture in a party,
I'm critically disappointed,
(before i bought it, i already know that E71 image quality problem)
but didn't expected that such terrible,
the problem not only on the noise,
and i also found that E71 auto-focus can only focus short distance thing (~15cm), long distance thing is totally can't focus at all.

Now finding which Nokia phone can snap a great picture,
some said N82, but now i interested with 5800 lar.. haha..
don't know 5800 camera performance can beat N82 or not.. (i mean in term of the auto-focus accuracy and noise)

finally, this baby is mine! grey steel. got from one nice lady for ~1k. 99.999% new.

this superphone is totally awesome (funtionally)! firmware updated. installed youtube app & garmin. satellite signal 3-4 bar even in my room. damn.

want to sleep. more to discover.

i'm winmo user for years. my not so good experience with symbian:
1. headache to obtain my cert
2. file system quite complicated
3. cannot sent unknown type file using bluetooth. try to send garmin map but inbox cannot execute or save .img file
4. uncustomized menu & home screen (or i need to search more...)
5. no stopwatch! even cokia 1100 have one smile.gif

and the gps receiver take long time to lock sat signal (without a-gps), but it is incredible fast with a-gps

need symbian power user to enlighten me. tq.

First do not blame the symbian Here a tip on how to improve GPS lock time.

There is a cold start , warm start and uses data to connect

Cold start - 5-20mins
Warm start - 1-5 minutes
Data connect = 3-10sec at most in good signal area.

if you wan fast lock get a Garmin NUVI. U dont buy a phone to replace a dedicated device

wo, marah nampak. i've just compare to winmo. open discussion forum.

1) getting cert from symbiansign is really rigid. free email not acceptable, even my work email they can't accept.
2) Ybrowser come by default? NO.
3) what alternative program? ENLIGHTEN ME
4) ... google is my friend. AGREE.
5) where is it?

not blaming. just my 1st impression feedback comparing symbian with winmo.

5 min is too long for me. i don't think nokia put gps module in e71 just to 'make it there'.

anyway, i believe symbian is equally powerful as winmo.

need answer. i use gps frequently.
1. does a-gps cost RM?
2. when sat signal is locked, will a-gps pass positioning task to gps?
my friend google not helping much.

PC Sync have no FILE AS field in contact! PC Suite does not sync well with Outlook.

i think all phone nowaday which support j2me (some kind of java platform) can use opera mini advanced.
