Hi all, I'm having problems with my E71. The photo and songs that I save into the phone have to be in the phone memory to be seen in "Gallery" tab. If I choose memory card, the photo/songs will NOT appear in the Gallery and instead will need to search in the "File Manager".

Really a mess, sometimes when I uninstall an application eg: Garmin, and reinstall it.. the phone will says "Garmin is installed, would I like to replace it"... I am sure the application is removed already!

Sometimes when I REMOVE the phone after connecting to pc using cable (mass storage), I can't detect my memory card already! It says "Memory Card" in used. I need to restart the phone to be able to access the Memory card again.

What's wrong with this phone? Anyone has idea? I've already changed the SD card but the problems persisted.

The black & red themes was already there before the update...

Change log of the new firmware. seems like nothing major.

maybe you need to backup the data and do a reset of the phone..so taht it clears out any probs

hi, i'm back, quite busy recently,
no time to post reply.

Finally i discovered out the battery life problem of my E71 already,
it's cause by the Garmin!
After i uninstall the Garmin, my phone battery life increased drastically!
1 battery bar=17 hours! total 7 bars = approx. 5 days! with moderately use, lowest brightness!

if i didn't slot in memory card, 1 bar=20 hours! Amazing!
Now i'm very happy and satisfy with the battery life of my E71 d.
haha... happy until jumping around (before this i'm thinking of send back the battery to Nokia center, luckily haven't do so)

but how come other ppl that installed Garmin in E71, don't have this problem?
Now, i only slot in memory card, when i want to use the GPS =.=|||
quite troublesome...

Updating my E71 firmware now... haha...

what version of garmin did u have? if im not mistaken the newest garmin version fixes the silent running app that is sucking batt life without u knowing it.

I just download the Nokia Software Updater, I opened half way and it jammed up and it didnt continue ...

Anyone faced same problem or its just my pc ?

that is the newest version and people say that it's better and dont suck batt life when u're not using it

successfully updated my firmware!
haven't found out any noticeable change..haha..

but, before i update firmware,
i already back-up all my contact and calendar,
after updated the firmware, i restore it,
contact list successfully restored, but no matter i try how many time the calendar still can't restore back,
this cause me lost some important calendar event.

It happen to me too. Everything was restore expect the calendar. Sigh.... lucky me i copied that all important date on my dairy..

just askin...u installed nokia updater on vista or xp...because there are some bugs with nokia updater on vista...

Me..using window vista.But didn't notice nay bug during installing n downloading..
