Thanks.. 1 last question..

1) I read that the "homescreen dialing" is disabled for AVAXX/Zitron sets... But for AP sets, its there.

now that i have pointed some of you here to the right direction of installing garmin..i need a big favour from you guys..anyone kind enough to teach me how to put in the malfreemap on garmin.. tongue.gif what are the things that i need to download and where to put it in..thanks guys..

the freemap. I can give u just copy and paste no need to go thru confusing steps and procedure but u need wait me to be home first.

Mine is not freemap but malsing map

no prob dude..i can connect to the satellite now but no map..i'm only seeing empty landscape..LOL..

dude, i am facing the same problem with you. I have malfreemaps v 1.36
maybe aspire can help us all?
from what i know, you have to copy the map to the garmin root folder, but still does not work for me.

Just upgraded my avaxx set last night. My "phone memory" backup restored till 19% only and just stopped there. i cancelled the restore, looked at my phone and saw most of the pics/data is present. Weird.
Otherwise the upgrade procedure went well. Looking forward to test/use the new features.

I put the gmapsupp.img created by the malfreemap installation into the \Garmin\ folder in my memory card.
Latest update for Malfreemap is on Feb 2. Now version 1.40

woops. .my bad. .afaik frm reading this thread, asia firmware before 200.x.x disabled tht function but oni europe versions have it. .
correct me if im wrong. .

so i just download that version 1.40 and install it at my memory card right? and i just put the .img file to the root folder? actually i already downloaded the map just that i haven install cause i'm not sure..i've install the malfreemap POI but i just i need the .img to display the map..ok then i'll try it later when i get back from office..

Hi, after 2 weeks using this phone. i am very satisfied with that ..but then how can I upgrade my garmin V4 to V5??
I have another problem , I am using 8GB card, the problem is I found out that the phone will hang and everything in the memory card will lost..
anyone got any idea what is this happen?This happen especially using the camera..

you can go directly to garmin website to download the latest version..but you need to *cough* it again..as for your memory card thingy..its weird actually..never had this problem when using the camera..the only problem i had was the camera sometimes loads the picture taken kinda long once you snap it..but i think the new firmware settles that problem..maybe you should try with another memory card and test it..your memory card might be corrupted or spoiled..
