i heard samsung blackjack II is kinda good but the camera is lousier than E71...
i doubt there's any new model coming out soon, so my mind kinda set for E71...

I just bought the IS from tan alliance not long ago.. got it last week i tink.. Wah took me an hour + to apply it to the whole fon.. n u noe e71 the back casing is made of tiny 'holes' , so after applying multiple times the IS just get stuck and form bubbles within the holes.. they are quite visible too..I've tried many times reapplying it but it turned out the same 
On top of tat, the screen protector is kinda thick.. so after applying u can see like a rough surface on top of ur screen.. its not as clear as normal screen protectors .. But acceptable also lar coz its military grade ma
Another thing is that u noe the 2 chrome sides? Its really disappointing that the IS doesnt cover that 2 sides 

Anyway.. its not like i wana spoil their sales  .. Its still a good product.. at least now i dun nid to use a bulky pouch/crystal casing anymore  Btw the IS feels like holding a plastic wrapper.. neh u noe those types where they use to wrap food to keep inside the fridge? yeah something lidat.. It feels kinda good as it wont get smudged by ANY FINGER PRINTS!! including the front n back.. which is v good compared to our naked e71 ahha

Yea charles.. I've hacked my fon before..and it did not take longer than 10 minutes.. I did it bcoz my fon is an AP fon so its okay.. since claiming warranty is not based on imei like ori fons.. so if u're using ori set DUN hack ur fon if not u will void ur warranty!!
After hacking i can install any ahem ahem software.. those signed and unsigned ones and i dun nid to change my date to install 'expired certificate' softwares .. Really vvv convenient .. Last time b4 hacking, 7 out of 10 of the softwares i downloaded kenot be installed.... So that's basically it.. If u're a great fan of applications i tink u shud hack ur fon.. provided that its ap hehe

To Mark Multiple Items On The E71:

To Copy & Paste On The E71:

Ctrl+C (but you need to hold down Func+Chr+C to get this on the keyboard). You can highlight text (in edit situations) by holidng the shift key and moving the direction pad. Copy will appear as on of the softkey labels. (thanks to this post)

Bluetooth Shortcut On The E71 (not on all product codes):

Press and Hold * key.

Switch Between Silent & General Profile On The E71 (not on all product codes):

Press and Hold # key.

guys, beware of changing your product codes to update your phone, even hacking it. A Nokia R&D guy mentioned in one of the forums:

"Nokia phones record modification done to an area encrypted area of the phone that is inaccessible by any software accept by tools available at NSC.

I repeat: Changing product code void all warranty. Even if you revert back to your original product code Nokia will still detect that you have done some modification.

One final note: Samsung & Nokia will be working closely in Australia with Opertators and few other countries with other phone manufacturers and Operators in cracking down product code changes and blocking them from the network. As Operators are liable for any lawsuits that is caused by users violating copyright laws including those of Media within its network."

If you guys have to change your product code/do some modifications, just be aware.

err..there's no such thing as getting sued for changing your product code? maybe you want to read the statement again? you probably wont even get your carrier here blocking your phone, but it may happen in other countries (for forumers who are overseas) or it even might happen here in the near future, anyway, just sharing what I got from another forum and pointing out the consequences of changing your product code, if you want to go ahead, do so.
Yes, it will definitely work, it is not carrier locked, you just have to activate roaming with your carrier here. There are some sites that has good themes, check the first post.

Have you tried restarting the phone, and then try to log into GPS again. Does it still requires <10s?
