any idea where to find this? i'm used to using this facial wash.

For me this is the only facial wash i find compatible to my skin, other product clean till my face too dry and after a while the face become very oily (maybe the skin try to balance the dryness). can't seem to find this and i end up buying a gatsby charcoal facial wash, end up face get too dry > become oily > acne form > T_T

so those oil wiping blue papers are to clean ur face from oil, means help preventing pimple/acne?
*
prevent clogged pores from sebum(oil), which may lead to acne/blackheads. it can help but not 100% full proof. you need benzoyl peroxide 2.5% to prevent acne. look for the ACNE thread on the girl's cosmetic section for full regimen.

Need advice here~
I'm outdoor alot, eg in the college the whole day, normally I wash face in morning then apply benzoyl peroxide stuff(ie T3 pimple gel) before I go out.
Then when arrive, is it advisable to wash my face tru-out the day with normal water or leave it with the pimple gel on it? or should I go other things like using those blue colour oil wiping paper?
I've been working hard to keep my face clean(eg facial steam, cleanser, pimple gel, wash pillow case every week etc) but new ones still pop out.

T3 pimple gel is not a benzoyl peroxide type medication. If the pimples are still coming out u should think about getting something stronger (i.e benzac, oxy or panoxyl).

Best to leave on the pimple gel as long as possible. So don't wash it off throughout the day unless u really need to....wash it off once u get home at the end of the day...that would be ideal. Using those blotting sheets will absorb oil only and not clean your face.

Sometimes using too many things on the face will make things worse. If u r washing your face more then 2-3 times a day pls stop washing so often.

First thing I would do if I were u is getting a new acne cream/gel. T3 products are quite useless as the amount of tea tree oil they add is probably so little that is of no use.

Prob with tea tree is it needs to be a certain concentration in order for it to be effective. Those high concentration ones are expensive.

Try something with benzoyl peroxide 2.5% first...if that doesn't work then switch to 5%...10% is the last resort.

Oxy should be fine but not Oxy cover coz its like applying makeup.

Do take note that its best to apply benzoyl peroxide at night. BP bleaches dyed clothes and hair...so u won't want your nice clothes to get those ugly bleached stains.

It's the same but it comes in only one color so it might be obvious that u applied something looking like makeup.

the best concentration for benzoyl peroxide is 2.5%, anything more doesn't really help. 5% 10% will dry out and damage your skin. The trick is to do it everyday without fail. Its really acne PREVENTION. This is how Proactive works, but at 1/2 the cost.

stick to 2.5% applied twice a day. also get the derma approved Cetaphil cleanser.

Morning
1. Cetaphil cleanser
2. Apply generous BP 2.5%
3. Moisturizer(optional, if dry skin / aircon all day, skip if oily skin)
4. Sunscreen (USE it!!! so your acne scars dont darken). SPF 50+, if can afford go for high PPD 20+ (euro brands, vichy/avene) for better UVA protection

Night
1. Cetaphil cleanser
2. Apply generous 2.5% BP
3. Moisturizer / Serum to repair and heal acne scars, fix skin tone

Cetaphil cleanser is a super mild gentle cleanser. Go to any dermatologist for acne, they'll ask you to use this. Some cleansers might be too harsh / drying etc, that it might cause more sebum, make acne worse. Any gentle cleanser will do really (eg Neutrogena Mild Cleanser), but Cetaphil is doctor approved and cheapest RM45 for a giant bottle.

Yes scars will really darken under the sun (same goes for dark eye circles).

For fixing skintone, Vitamin C Serum from Kiehl's / Vichy. Or, go for Olay Regenerist serum/cream for more affordable option. Another step is add to this is products with AHA to peel away old scarred skin.

go read scformen.com for more options and in-depth steps.

What product should I use if I want to combat acne and oil at the same time?I dun really have serious acne,my acne is just becos of puberty I think laugh.gif

Now I'm currently using Nivea For Men Oil Control,it's quite good but the thing is,it just helps for the oil,it doesn't prevent pimples smile.gif

Uh,do u mean that guy who says that he's outdoors the whole time in college? Not the same case as me laugh.gif

But I am also looking for a good face wash, now I'm using Nivea For Men Oil Control Face Wash, but it only helps to control oil, doesn't help in preventing pimples..I am wondering if T3 is good, but the guy a few posts above says that it contains too little tea tree oil to even be considered useful?

And I only want to use those brands that you can get in pharmacy like Guardian,Watsons etc. as they are pretty cheap compared to high-ends one smile.gif

its the same products, no matter if you're outdoors or not. unless you're in a vampire and cant let any sunlight hit you, you need sunscreen. you can take out the serum/moisturizer part if you cant afford, but its recommended since benzoyl peroxide will dry out your skin. just use a cheaper basic one, like from Neutrogena.

scroll up and read, same EXACT products, for the 2nd time.

i have nothing for oil prevention. some sunscreens (biore) will help matte-tify your face (aka no make it look shiny). no you dont have to use the same brand.

Oh ok,the stuff u recommend are mostly for acne, but I am more concerned about oil on my face,I don't really like the greasy feeling you know, plus I wear spectacles, and when my nose gets oily,it slips..

Well as one guy above said that our weather here doesn't really keep our face fresh all day long..I agree, oil always appear after few hours..

Anyone here using Loreal For Men range? Is it gud?

Just get those oil blotting sheets from the pharmacy...either Gatsby or Clean and Clear. It's a cheap solution to an oily face. Just don't use it too often throughout the day.

As for moisturizers and other other products that control oil/shine, they are usually a hit and miss for me. I currently use Biotherm Homme T Pur toner and moisturizer to control oil/shine and it works to a certain extent for me. But doesn't work on my nose though as that area is really oily. Don't use too many mattifying products at once as it will really dry up your face.
