When it starts to get shiny. The faster the shine comes the oilier your skin is...but depends on environment too.

After u wash your face...does your skin get tight or very tight ?

Clinique 7 day scrub cream my gf has it...it has coconut oil in it and makes your face slightly oily lo. Good for ppl with dry skin but for us guys I think not so suitable. The men's scrub is better and one of the best in the market...contains BHA.

Diacneal should be fine as long as u dont use too much too often. So far I have not experienced any extreme reactions to it...just a little dry.

Paula's Choice...i think only can get online...haven't seen it around b4. If u can't find i think u can just get a regular toner with salicylic acid (BHA). Eucerin, Clean & Clear, Clinique and Neutrogena all got toners with BHA. Prob is they don't disclose the % used.

But all the stuff u planning to get ain't cheap and u need to use a good moisturizer if not u will kena more breakouts. It happened to me.

The Aquapower moisturizer ?

How much is it and did u get any free gifts/samples ?

How did u find Clinique ?
*
Yeah Aqua Moisturizer. I bought it one set combine with homme cleanser and I dunno (something like lotion and another one is for hydrating) what its called. Total for 4 bottle Rm388. Clinique doesn't suit me well, my face always dry. For the sample, I got a few but dunno where I put it.

let us know how Avene Diacneal is working out for you guys smile.gif. i have a colleague who used it before and she said the cream is quite thick so it is not vey suitable to apply to the whole face less you'll empty the whole tube in a week. she said it's mostly for spot treatment.

Diacneal is very thick and creamy and smells a lot like Retin A. The reason why its expensive is because it not only gets rid of acne but same time also lightens scars and smooths skin surface. That's the main advantage I see in Diacneal over stuff like Oxy and panoxyl that do nothing for scars.

After 2 nights of applying small amounts Diacneal I notice my skin is a little smoother but this could be caused by combination of products i am using. The individual pimples are also shrinking slowly bu the real effect of Diacneal can only be seen in about 2 weeks. Funny thing is after I apply it I don't feel a thing unlike other types of pimple creams and gels I have used. Those usually have a slight tingling or stinging feeling. Diacneal only leaves a slight shine on skin because it is cream base but it's not a problem as I only apply at night.

i'm currently using lab series and it's not very effective at getting rid of red pimple marks although i only get like a big once in a couple of months. the spot stays there for like months. i'm probably gonna give biotherm a try, the one jonny recommended since it has peeling effect but i dunno if its overkill though.

lab series is strong la bro...even the facewash is good but i had my skin on my fingers and palm peeling off due to dryness...haiz..but it really worked well for my face..so now using clinique with my girl house mate..the girls and the guys one same nia...just packing difference so you pay more..so i shared with my girl housemate and bought big ones so we both use

Most of the male/female products are just marketing...most of the time they contains the same amount of ingredients and maybe different scent. I have not use Kose products before but it should be fine if it suits your skin type. Use without hesitation man.

Added on February 1, 2010, 1:06 amGuys,

Just today my gf bought Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture for Combination Skin. I was curious and applied a bit after a shower. I was very impressed by the oil control capabilities of this product. It's comparable with my clinique and Biotherm T Pur moisturizers when it comes to controlling oil and shine. Best part is the price, RM26 for 118ml. But it's really basic la...it just moisturizes and controls oil and nothing else. Those with drier skin should avoid this product though.

Pavilion is a good place to go as there is a special Lab Series counter/facial place at the Parkson men's department. There is a Clinique store just outside parkson, directly above the M&G store.

I'll choose neither Lab Series or Clinique. both are quite harsh on skin. I have used both brands before. I only like LS Power Wash, LS Clay Mask and Clinique M Gel and Clinique Scrub. Right now I use Biotherm T Pur range and I am very impressed especially with the cleanser and moisturizer.

Lab Series is known to be strong for normal skin..as for Clinique i believe u can try the Mild version..there is few versions for Clinique rite?? hmm.gif ..best if u go to the counter and asked them.... nod.gif bear in mind sometimes they may give wrong advise as well.... tongue.gif ..so u should ask few consultants instead.......

@jind - do tell us the results... biggrin.gif

Actually good brands like Avene and Eucerin will do the trick. If u look at the ingredient list, for example clinique toners and eucerin toners, the are basically almost the same, just very diff price and diff packaging. Even if u seek consultation they will push u to get either products for skin type 2 or 3. If u ask for a mild one they will get irritated because they "know best" compared to u. This is the attitude I get from most Clinique "consultants". Do remember they are just consultants and not licensed dermatologists.

Good to hear u got Diacneal.

The lady's advice is not very good. U should actually use moisturizer after applying because it is very strong and can dry out/irritate some skins. After applying Diacneal, wait 30mins before applying moisturizer. Diacneal is not a moisturizer. U should also start using it 2-3 nights once and see if your skin can tolerate. Then slowly work your way up to once a night. In the day a good sunscreen should be applied if u are exposed to direct sunlight a lot because Diacneal makes your skin extra photosensitive. Without a use of a sunscreen, all the goodness Diacneal brings to your skin will go to waste and will make things worse for your skin.

After a week of using Diacneal, I can see improvement in texture and tone on areas of my face that is less prone to acne. While the ares with acne have suffered a "purge" and I am currently experiencing a moderate breakout. But it is manageable and not a big problem for me.

So jind, u might suffer form a breakout too when using Diacneal for the first time during the first few weeks. Hope u can tahan and persevere. This is the stage a lot of ppl give up and say that Diacneal is not working for them. Give a a month or two and u will see the improvement. Well in my case that's what i am hoping for biggrin.gif
