i'm currently using lab series and it's not very effective at getting rid of red pimple marks although i only get like a big once in a couple of months. the spot stays there for like months. i'm probably gonna give biotherm a try, the one jonny recommended since it has peeling effect but i dunno if its overkill though.

thats not a good way to use pimple cream unless you don't use moisturizers on your pimple areas. the moisturizer applies a protective layer which i think will make your pimple cream less effective if applied on top of the moisturizer. what i do is cleanse, apply cream, wait for like 15 mins to let the cream fully absorb, then moisturizer.

let us know how Avene Diacneal is working out for you guys . i have a colleague who used it before and she said the cream is quite thick so it is not vey suitable to apply to the whole face less you'll empty the whole tube in a week. she said it's mostly for spot treatment.

if only your t-zone is oily then your skin type is "combination". if whole face oily then skin type is "oily".

those products are catered for female users, i suppose guys could use them as well but it's probably better to stick with products made for men.

as for skin tone, it's entirely up to you. some people prefer looking fair while others like a tan.

so jonny, have you gotten your Shiseido Moisturizing Emulsion yet? so far i'd read some reviwes about it but mostly from people in the US. it's probably not suitable for their weather as it was designed with asian weather in mind i think. i'm currently using something from origins, it's pretty decent but the price/ml is a real killer, like 15ml for rm50. any suggestions on what i should get next? need something light but not too light, oil control is a plus too.

The Shiseido Hydrating Lotion looks like liquid, how do you apply something like that to your face? I'm probably gonna try this one for a change(been using cream/gel products mostly), deos it come in different sizes or just 150ml?

how old are you jind? cause if you're at the stage where you're still experiencing hormonal changes, no external products will help you. you'll have to take stuff like accutane to see any results.

This is true, accutane is very harsh on your liver and something i would consider very carefully before taking. About the right time to consider accutane is when acne starts to interfere with your daily life; like if you're a model, a sales agent or if you're tryin to tackle some hot girls , a huge acne on your nose is going to put the brakes on whatever you're trying to do.

A good routine deos helps but it will never be as effective as accutane. I think some people are just tired of acne and just want to get rid of it. And I don't blame them because nothing is more frustrating than seeing a pimple heal and its scar fade away after waiting for months only to have a new one grow beside it .

i've been trying shiseido hydrating lotion samples a few days now, so far i'm liking it. only problem is that after a few hours it starts to turn sticky on my face....i'm not sure why it's doing this but i had similar problems when using products with matte/oil control. when my gf touched my face she was like "did you put glue on your face?" lol. do you guys have this problem?

i use about 10 drops total. 4 drops per side including nose and another 2 drops for forehead. am i using too much? it deoosn't feel like i've used too much though as it is about just enough to cover my face comfortably without stretching the lotion too thin.

it'll go away naturally in a few weeks as long as you avoid the sun. at least that is how it is for me, i can never keep a tan even if i wanted too .

jonny, did you ever get the Shiseido Total Revitalizer? was thinking of adding this to my routine but the price is abit steep, if it can last at least 3 months of daily use then maybe i'd consider it. right now i'm just using hydrating lotion, it's good at preventing breakouts but my skin has lost it's glow, so i'm thinking bout usin hydrating only in the day while some repair cream at night.

u can get a cheap trimmer from watson's, it's their in house brand. cost like 20 bucks if im not wrong.

i can grow moustache, soul patch and goatee, but not beard =/. u could try the tony stark look in ironman, i tried that but high maintainance lol.

soul patch is that small patch of hair that grows under your lower lips, above the goatee.

i am chinese, but i don't see how facial hair has anything to do with race. it's just less common to see facial hair on chinese cause they prefer the conservative clean shaved look. i started shaving when i was very young so that may have helped, but i have problem growing beard near the jaw area so i wouldn't consider myself having complete facial hair either. i heard celebs use rogaine to grow facial hair, i dunno if i wanna go down that path though .
