i said if you end up not using it, then it's a waste. so why even bother to ask if it is a waste if you already know you're gonna make full use of it? which is good for you if you do.

Audio Technica has some good portable cans like SJ3, SJ5, FC5, FC700, ES5, but those can easily cost you more than RM100. ATH-ON3 would fit your budget (RM100~RM120).

Then there are Sennheisers PX100/200 (cost more than RM100 as well).

HD485 and AD300 have pretty much the same sound signature. Both are emphasized on bass and treble. Good clarity and detail with wide soundstage. And the bass can be better after burn-in. So, it is safe to say that both cans provide a balanced overall sound.

Comfort-wise, AD300 is arguably more comfortable than HD485 when used over long periods.

About Beyerdynamic DTX700/800, i'm not really sure, but i think they may have a warmer sound signature.

Hmmm.. at that price range, I don't think there's any gd Sennheiser products for recommendation... The Sennheiser CX300 or the CX500 if you're really that into Sennheiser. You might want to grab the CX500 from play.com if you can they're selling at super duper cheap price.

from i have seen in other forums, they said, the AD300 is more comfortable but then sound wise, the dtx800 sounds more better in term where the sounds is more for general purpose (music, movies, gaming). but then, the dtx800 build quality looks more plastic compared to the AD300.

So now, im considering AD300 and DTX800 doh.gif

didnt know choosing headphone is that difficult sweat.gif laugh.gif

Yea, Beyerdynamics should sound more 'boomy' than Audio Technicas which makes the DTX800 a more suitable choice for gaming and movies instead of AD300.

Well, you can forget about ON3 and Buttons(FW3).

And if let say your budget is less than RM200 and your preference is portable, I would say the best choice is SJ3.

Okay, so what is left in your list of choices then?

I understand that your in a tight budget (i'm sorta a tight budgeting man myself lol), but it's kinda hard to find a really good sounding (portable) headphone with a price of RM100 and below.
