i could recommend you a few CrossRoads iems, but the microphonics is quite bad if you wanna use it for gym, jogging, or any other activities that involves a lot of movement.

if you're willing to redirect your question to bro walabies, he probably can give a better suggestion. his bulk thread: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=586559

Shure are not for bass freak that's for sure, they excel in term of clarity, however, you can improve the bass with amp, and they do fit pretty well in my ears that's all I can tell you xD

What about ATH-M30? The price is a bit step up from T22 but it's the best priced monitoring headphones around.

The T22 should have a pretty decent bass and good music/vocal separation. probably not as good as other higher end models but good enough for its price.

If you want bass, the CX500 should suit you quite well since the CX300 is known to hv bloated bass, thus I expect the same goes to this upgrade version of CX500 to hv the same as its predecessor xD

Hey guys.

I would like to get an in-ear earphone for my MP3 player. Budget <RM400. I usually listen to Rock/Alternative/Orchestra types of songs. I've had the Sony EX51 and it was great! Now I thought of getting a Shure brand earphone.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

Oo, Possible to save a little bit more say to ~RM500 xD, coz better mid range IEM is within that range, such as the Phonak Audeo PFE, Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 and Future Sonic M5/8.

Haha, I don't recall any gd Shure products that's around Rm400, try to do some research about the IEM above, some of them are way better than Shure at the same price, it's just that it's hardly seen in M'sia that's why few ppl aware of their existence xD

Shure SCL2 or Shure SE115 fits your budget but the bass is not something to die for.

Well, it's the way the Malaysian market is. Price is still an important factor, and people here don't care too much about music quality, as long as it has "boom boom" tongue.gif So, Malaysian market will always be dominated by Sony, Philips, SonicGear, Plantronics, etc. Whilst Shure and Sennheiser has good presence here, I don't see it as popular as the others, mainly due to the price.

It could've been worse, but thanks to Apple's iPod and the emergence of Apple resellers, they are starting to bring in a lot of hi-end stuff, limited as they may be smile.gif

Not that many people are willing to spend a fortune on equipment alone just for the sake of higher music quality.

Having a decent gear that can be easily obtained is already enough for most people to enjoy their music.

No, I think it's because they're not exposed to the deadly virus yet tongue.gif Once they've tried it, I'm sure they will be willing to fork out more for it xD
