QUOTE(chingwooi @ Jul 16 2009, 12:20 AM) Honestly it's pretty hard to find those IEM within ur price range that's recommended by LYN members here, coz I don't think they hv these Music Alley SP1 or Sound Magic PL50 there xD However, you can try this Sennheiser CX500, it's selling at £15.99 with free delivery some more at play.com. It's pretty cheap as the normal price is around RM500++ which is around £100. CX500 is ear piece right? RM500 for a ear piece? btw, im still considering which to buy. earphone or head phone for headphone i was thinking audio-technica T22 and for earpiece i'll consider CX500 thanks alot

QUOTE(hirari @ Jul 16 2009, 07:24 AM) What about ATH-M30? The price is a bit step up from T22 but it's the best priced monitoring headphones around. i couldnt find that at the website at www.play.com or www.hifiheadphones.co.uk, 1 step up is T44. anyone here used that before? btw, how is the bass for audio technica?

QUOTE(hirari @ Jul 16 2009, 07:10 PM) The T22 should have a pretty decent bass and good music/vocal separation. probably not as good as other higher end models but good enough for its price. QUOTE(chingwooi @ Jul 16 2009, 07:27 PM) If you want bass, the CX500 should suit you quite well since the CX300 is known to hv bloated bass, thus I expect the same goes to this upgrade version of CX500 to hv the same as its predecessor xD great... now im stuck with 2 model the T44 or CX500 or maybe i'll just buy 2 btw, im using mostly for music and i prefer a balance or bass and vocal if possible. after doing some reseacrh, i finally found a few headphones of my liking and within my budget. the problem now is im not sure which is better i tried googling and i cant find many review on those headphones below. hope some of you guys can comment on these model i prefer more general sound quality. a balance of bass and clarity/treble. will be using mostly on music and a lil on movies and gaming Sennheiser HD485, Audio Technica ATH-AD300, Beyerdynamic DTX800, Beyerdynamic DTX700 thanks in advance

QUOTE(hirari @ Jul 20 2009, 03:24 PM) HD485 and AD300 have pretty much the same sound signature. Both are emphasized on bass and treble. Good clarity and detail with wide soundstage. And the bass can be better after burn-in. So, it is safe to say that both cans provide a balanced overall sound. Comfort-wise, AD300 is arguably more comfortable than HD485 when used over long periods. About Beyerdynamic DTX700/800, i'm not really sure, but i think they may have a warmer sound signature. from i have seen in other forums, they said, the AD300 is more comfortable but then sound wise, the dtx800 sounds more better in term where the sounds is more for general purpose (music, movies, gaming). but then, the dtx800 build quality looks more plastic compared to the AD300. So now, im considering AD300 and DTX800 didnt know choosing headphone is that difficult

QUOTE(hirari @ Jul 20 2009, 10:15 PM) Yea, Beyerdynamics should sound more 'boomy' than Audio Technicas which makes the DTX800 a more suitable choice for gaming and movies instead of AD300. just bought it i mean dtx800 will receive it tomolo hopefully i dont have to sell it and get AD300
