215/40/R16 has the smallest deviation comparing to m-line stock tyres. slightly bigger only. but i think the FC will be higher due to larger traction surface, thus heavier. correct me if im wrong.

I have a question.

My brother's BLM is having a weird problem. Sometimes after he press the close button from the remote, his car's alarm will trigger and this caused him couldn't shut the car.

He has no idea at all why this happened, not all the time, but once in a while.

I noticed when this happen, there are 1 button(left most) among the 3 in the centre panel keep blinking.

Seeking for advice before he could send to the SC.

he pressed the wrong button on the remote...sometime happen to us as well
cuz the button no colour
and yes...among the 3 button...the left one is to shut down the alarm
press that and the alarm will stop...back to normal

No he didn't press the wrong button on the remote.

The scenario is as following:
1. Start car as usual and found out the left button(at the center panel) inside the car keep blinking even when driving.
2. Stop at destination and came out from the car.
3. Press the remote button to lock the car.
4. Alarm being triggered.
5. Press the remote button to unlock the car.
6. Alarm stopped.

What the heck.

My say is - your SA didnt tell you enuff.
A pathetic anwer would be - go and read the manual la bro! heheheh

A sympathetic answer is - press the blinking button long enuff for it to stop blinking.
That sounds pathetic also!

A simple solution is to close all doors and boot correctly and lock the car. (again? hehehe)

If the button still blinks or the alarm goes off once you lock the car,
somewhere at the doors or boot is a loose @ worst,
a malfunction item that tells the alarm the doors and boot have been closed.

If the latter is what you found, SC should be the only place you send your BLM to fix it

Oh boy rclxub.gif Just saw this and MISSED IT doh.gif

Btw, i just wan to confirm something for the final time,
i got reply that i should go and service my car if it reach the NEXT SERVICE DATE even though I have yet to achieve 6000km

What will be the impact if i just go and service only upon reaching 6000km which might be 1-2 months after the supposingly NEXT SERVICE DATE?

If let say mileage only around reach 3000km at that time, wouldn't it be wasting to service it just because it reach the NEXT SERVICE DATE? Coz the engine oil change is suppose to be upon 6000km right?

Any particular reason why we should go and service the car upon reaching the NEXT SERVICE DATE, which i noticed in the warranty book, the service is upon 3 months (Or 6000km), 3 months (Or 10000km) mmmmm

Thanks in advance

if tint my window with ecotint, will smartag still work?
cos i read some articles that the tint film might block the sensor from reading the smartag device.

By right it's not a good idea to over extend your current service point since I've noticed such practices actually increases likelyhood of engine sludging. What would be a good idea is to service it now and mark the next service to be at 11000km instead
