its up to u to decide.the SA never tell u what does the warranty of the safe tint do, right?so ask him back about the warranty. if he say, getting another layer will void, then it voids.however we welcome u to our club.join our official blm club at www.blmclub.co.cc to learn more of ur BLM there.cheers.

I went to 10k service last month, they asked me to come again at 15k. Inside the manual after 10k is 20k. So I called service centre KL. They confirmed no 15k after 10k. Only if 10k service still using mineral oil, have to come for 15k service. Hmm confirm I using shell helix 10-40 synthetic oil. every 10k....correct me if Im wrong...

time for a honda city
last nite have chance to go drive on my aunt's civic...found out the only difference i can feel is
their soundproof nice and no small problem(this is why ppl bash proton, too many rattling sound)
but our advantage is i found out our car's air cond is extremely cold.....the civic aircond's temp turn to full also cannot beat our car when our car only turn to middle
and our sound system also better indeed
stability is same ....maybe becuz of the lotus's things inside our car
other than that....pretty much the same...only our car is noiser only

is it possible?...because there is nothing to hold water from going inside the IAFM

Ah nazri ur car IAFM also bunyi already...come come join the spoil IAFM club tongue.gif
I think the IAFM is not spoiled it's a design flaw, my sc told me there's a valve inside that is rattling but otherwise it's still working but the engine sound like lorry la.

Oh my goodness so loud @@ (I thought i heard dog bark sound at the background)
Meaning now with this sound, the iafm got problem?

Must go open the bonnet and listen to it ~
As far as i know, my BLM engine is quite loud too ~ (Was in the parking bay, and a guard just walk pass by oblivious that i was already in the car, when i started the engine, he "jumped off" as in "got shocked" - biggrin.gif )

Questions for engine break in it applies to all 4 stroke engine but the article is based on motorcycle :

http://www.ntnoa.org/enginebreakin.htm
http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

Quatation : What's The Best Way To Break-In A New Engine ??
The Short Answer: Run it Hard !

Explanation : The first few hundred miles of a new engine's life have a major impact on how strongly that engine will perform, how much oil it will consume and how long it will last. The main purpose of break-in is to seat the compression rings to the cylinder walls. We are talking about the physical mating of the engine's piston rings to it's corresponding cylinder wall. That is, we want to physically wear the new piston rings into the cylinder wall until a compatible seal between the two is achieved.
*
The 2nd article mentioned the technique for manual car (as in changing the gears)~
And the 1st article mentioned of different time durations for different session~

Wat about auto cars?

Initially, i thought breaking in means just press the car pedal really hard @@, not sure whether it had been done correctly mmm ~ Still digesting the article

Just go back to the quotation : What's The Best Way To Break-In A New Engine ??
The Short Answer: Run it Hard !

Just short burst of hard acceleration for 2-3minute.

when BLM came out, persona not yet come with IAFM, when persona comes with IAFM, BLM came for the 2nd batch already.hence the 2nd batch of BLM doesnt really have the IAFM issue, only the 1st batch.get me?
