btw wen u free have a check on ur exzos got oily or not after 2k km after u have change to 5w30~
cuz my car nowgot d sign of engine oil coming out from d exzos bit by bit~

may be you can just walk in to the proton show room and experience yourself will be better. Its just different spec & accessories.

haha..ok...share about how i "break in" my car, maybe it helps other users:

when below 200km mileage, i never step more than 3krpm

then before doing first service (after first 200km mileage until 999km), i rev it till 4k or 5k rpm..but not often. Example, suddenly rev it and then slow down.

then after 1k services, rev as many as u like, but never red line..

p/s: just my own experiece, i don responsible for any defects of your engine after u try it.

i think go up genting also "works" for breaking in engine, i noticed my car more smooth after went up to genting. but that time my mileage was around 5k mileage la..

Now synthetic technology is good enough even with 0w20 oil. Now in myvi club, they had try 5w20 engine oil & it work fine in myvi engine.
Do any1 here dare to try Xw20 oil in campro ....

true....use 10w-40....alot lot lot better
and yes...dn't use petronas.....
from my experience of petronas, when near 5k...sure engine already warn u to go service
will seem and sound like no power already

.....best also i will take 5w30 only....0w20 feels like too thin.....best is 10w40..provides protection and balance fuel economy......try other engine oil...like eneos,motul...not bad....feels lighter/smooth and rev happier...

because i heard some regulation for taxi must at least 1.5l engine

my friend said they only make 1.6 for taxi only....lor

just to add something here, engine brek-in, try to search yuotube. what I understand engine break-in done after overhaul or for new engine. but our blm engine break-in is already done by proton. if happen your fc is bad, break-in done badly...
contoh, after u overhaul engine, start the engine, let it warm-up at 2000rpm for a 1/2 hour. rev hardly then stop. let engine cool down.
