Sifu's sekalian!
I refer to MSI P55-GD65 Memory speed DDR3-2133 (OC), 2000 (OC)/ 1800 (OC)/ 1600 (OC)/ 1333/1066MHz What does that OC means? after i overclock the mobo or oc the ram? Does it mean i can support ram with 2000Mhz? Just plug and play or need to do some tweaking? hope sifu's sekalian can teach. Getting this mobo soon, MSI coming out promo on 1st Oct. |

Getting this mobo soon, MSI coming out promo on 1st Oct. any ram u plug in, ur mobo will set it run on 1333mhz (if im correct with this value la)...so in order to gain the 2133mhz, u need to tweak.. change divider etc etc... the ddr3-2133 means the ram is tested and can run stable at 2133mhz... no need to pening2 wat itu dan ini.. urgh..im bad at explaining |

asking about ram's again... i need to buy a dual channel supported ram only can have the function? or any value ram, with the same capacity and mhz will do?
as example, 2x Corsair 2GB DDR2 800Mhz Gaming Ram suits in a GA-EP43-UD3L mobo... the mobo can support dual channel, the ram wasn't sure, coz its just a value ram. |

any brand of ram, that been slot in the same colored slot, it will run dual channel on dual channel supported board and will run triple channel on triple channel board..
u can pick any ram... no need for same brand or "dual channel kit" or same ramchip... |

(i cant remember what game) and the result around 3fps increase.. if tested on example crysis, it barely increse 1fps.. so its ur call.. @cstkl there must be something i left out and things i donno...do forgive me... |

@cstkl1
but still everybody know that ocing ram lead to small gain only. i doubt u can exactly feel any diff in gaming no matter how pro a person tweak his ram... in other apps might differ... but gaming is too small to gain even with insane ramspeed + tight timings.. do correct me if im wrong..im a noob in ram oc anyway |

Okie, first of all, thanks to kuntawakaw and cstkl1 for replying my question!!! thanks!!!
im interested in OC and will learn maybe later on, but currently still stick with normal setting, means manufacturer setting, so i wana know between 800 mhz and 1033mhz, does it different? i'll add more info for my gc and activities, im using sapphire 4850 with 2x corsair value gaming ram 800mhz, E7400 proc, GA-EP43-UD3L mobo, hdd 500gb 7200rpm... current activities, adobe photoshop,illustrator,flash,dreamweaver, games would be grid,undercover,prototype,left 4 dead,warcraft. alwiz will be using illustrator multi-tab with flash, or any adobe series multi-tab both at once or three... after long term using, some lagness will cause when multi-tab. proc problem?or ram? and today i found out, my intel ori hsf have some problem. It's going slow that i can see the movement, sometimes like normal one goes... does it really harm? if start pc, it wont turn, i need manually push only it will run afterwards... i just mean, will it be okie if the fan doesn't turn/turn slow till i can see fan wings movement? it will be temporary only, will change to 212 plus later on. thanks!!! |

QUOTE(xi4n9 @ Sep 30 2009, 05:28 PM) Okie, first of all, thanks to kuntawakaw and cstkl1 for replying my question!!! thanks!!! That would probably lead to an increase in your processor temps.. Might cause your computer to throttle or auto shut down.. im interested in OC and will learn maybe later on, but currently still stick with normal setting, means manufacturer setting, so i wana know between 800 mhz and 1033mhz, does it different? i'll add more info for my gc and activities, im using sapphire 4850 with 2x corsair value gaming ram 800mhz, E7400 proc, GA-EP43-UD3L mobo, hdd 500gb 7200rpm... current activities, adobe photoshop,illustrator,flash,dreamweaver, games would be grid,undercover,prototype,left 4 dead,warcraft. alwiz will be using illustrator multi-tab with flash, or any adobe series multi-tab both at once or three... after long term using, some lagness will cause when multi-tab. proc problem?or ram? and today i found out, my intel ori hsf have some problem. Maybe you can use speedfan, hwmonitor or some program to monitor your processor temps... Just in case it reaches an unsafe level. |

guys, a quick noob question. i'm playing crysis at max settings and the frame rates are acceptable. i didnt measure with fraps, but i'd say more than 30fps. the problem is, after a few minutes of playing, the game just crashes and stops responding. the game works fine at medium or high settings. i've logged the temps of the gpu, and it never exceeded 60c. so is it the gpu, cpu or ram which is limiting the game at max settings?
my spec: athlon II X2 240 2.8ghz 2gb ocz gold ddr2 800mhz ram galaxy gtx260 896mb ddr3, 192sp thanks!! |
