140W is alot

Hi, I have a Buffalo external hd which has 160 Gb+ of free space, but when I try to transfer a 6.5 Gb file into it, it says the hard disk is full. Is there something wrong with it?

probably ur external HDD's partition is FAT32. try converting it to NTFS.

he is right... your hdd format is FAt 32. format it.. or if u like fat 32 so much then partition it

I bought a new mobo and using sata harddisk now, if i plug in my old ide harddisk and use as slave, will it affect my performance?

erm... no...

it only will increase your storage size

hey guys!

I don't exactly know what happened to my hdd, but I guess its dead.

The problem is, it can't be detected anymore.

It's still spinning during boot up, but bios unable to read the model of the hdd.

What can be seen is blank instead of [NONE].

Hdd model is WD 6400AAKS.

Any ideas guys?

which is more better for gaming..
2.why AMD is more cheaper than INTEL,it's that mean INTEL is better than AMD?
3.AMD PHENOM 2 and INTEL QUAD CORE,it's has same core,4 core?

1. diff brand, diff manufacturer.. altho old days they were together... better for gaming? both..just AMD cheaper for the same performance INTEL proc and also INTEL have proc that better then AMD.. if u have budget, INTEL will be better with i7 / i5...
2. AMD R&D and marketing budget far lower then INTEL... and also marketing stategy la..
3. wrong.. PHENOMII have 2cores, 3cores and 4 cores...

how we want to diff PHENOM if they hav 2,3,4 cores?

5XX is 2cores.
7XX is 3cores
8XX and 9XX are 4cores... 8XX have 4mb l3 cache while 9XX have full 6mb..

AMD vs INTEL at same performance = AMD cheaper..
but INTEL have line up that more powerful then AMD. (of cos at diff price)
the highest AMD now for end user is phenomII 965.. but intel have proc that better then 965...

Can sell lump sum, some people lazy/dunno open laptop and identify the hardware.
Some part is rare and maybe can do "transplant" for same model for the technician
