There are 3 possibility I could think of.... if this is true? blink.gif
(1) HM is running mass production to cope the increasing number of orders
(2) Early birds are canceling their order due to economy crisis
(3) SA is BS to hit his sales target... he really sounds like any color is no problem at the moment to get it in a month time...
*
1. hope the quality can coupe up with the mass productions.
2. hmm i suppose this is no big deal
3. better double confirmed with him. me personally hate it when promises are not properly delivered.

oh n welcome to the city owner club~ haha

Saw in a page in The Star. The article said this is the best time to buy cars. Yes, and this time will be the time to make the gap bigger between poor and rich. The rich become richer, and the poor become poorer.
All manufacturers are having discount and rebates to clear their year-end stocks too.

My SA called me, I can get my car before CNY. No need wait until March already, PMM E-spec.

And it could be cancellation, or as my SA says, HM gives 2 cars to all SA to be given to chinese in priority due to CNY. Colour is random.

Last night i just tried out this car. If use the S mode which is the pedal shift mode, gear 1 and 2 quite powerful, but when gear 3 you can feel the drop...
Another problem about S mode is when you release the accelerate pedal and kick it again, it feel like how the D mode change the gear...
The car is powerful than the previous model, more stable... driving 120km/h and you feel nothing at all, just like 80km/h... I felt surprise about this too...

Agreed with you bro. Even my SA said the same thing when I asked him. He said PMM looks awesome on CR-V but not so much when it comes to the new City due to its smaller size.

Well, colour is a very personal thing and we choose it for our own reasons. So, enjoy the colour of our choice! Waiting for others to post pictures and comments when they got delivery of their babies, while waiting for mine!

Keep the comments coming.

I booked mine back in December 2008. Haha...
And at 4800 RPM if not wrong, is the i-VTEC power zone where the torque increase dramatically.

1st Gear: 60
2nd Gear: 105/110
3rd Gear: 145
4th upwards I have no idea now...

Keep in mind, the new city heavier than old city 50kg, but only with 10PS and 2Nm torque extra, and along with torque converter, the old city may end up still faster.

Will take photo both my old city and new city side by side soon.

1. I think they are churning out the City faster due to the demand (plus the fact that ppl wanna get the car before 31/3/09) to enjoy the RM625 rebate. Dunno what's their production figure, but HM said they're increasing output to 1,500 City a month (that's 50 cars a day).
2. Mine was probably due to that. My SA told me someone cancelled an ASM E-Spec so I was next in line, so asked me whether I wanted it (since it was my 2nd choice color). Decided to take it since it'll be hard going to work w/o a car for the next 3 months or so.
3. Problem with some of the SAs, they just BS to get the sales..but when you ask him / her to commit on when you can get it.. they are unable to do so. It happened with my mum's Civic too. From 2 - 3 months went on to 4 months. Booked in Feb, got in June.

In terms of power, yes.
In terms of fuel efficiency, not sure.
Depends on technology too.

Thanks, bro. Much appreciated too. Considering getting a specific number plate for my car smile.gif

Btw.. was wondering, on the JPJ website.. it says it's WSE XXXX.. but I noticed that there are cars with WSF XXXX.
Question is.. if we don't take a running number, what about alphabet? How far ahead (or behind) can we go? For eg. if I want WSG XXXX but it's WSE XXXX. Is it possible? (i.e. belakang mari way..hehe!)

4 gears and 5 gears...
With 1 more extra gears, you can have a better gear ratio, thus can get higher speed with lower RPM, the lower the RPM the better fuel efficiency.
Like Avanza gear ratio, with only 4 speed auto, when they cruise at 100km/h, their RPM hit high at 3200. Like City CVT which have infinite gear ratio, at 100km/h, it is only 2300RPM. Normally the average should be at around 2600-2800.
My old City VTEC, the fuel consumption average 420km @ 32-34 litre... City full tank is 42 litre, when you have 10 litre left, the indicator will turn on. So if full tank, you can hit 460 km at least.
So new city FC, i-VTEC better than VTEC in FC, but new city with torque converter and 5 speed auto, while old city CVT and no torque converter, more or less will end up same. Don't forget heavier city vs old lighter city as well as 16' vs 15'.

And to invisible guy, I am from Wilayah.

Boleh, bro. Just like mine 6 1/2 months ago. The plate was running JLD, but I took JKW (of course, jalan belakang loh). But wait, no bribery here ah. Don't accuse me of corruption. rolleyes.gif
