patryn...you dealt with collectors time before? are their web listed prices negotiable?
*
its non negotiable. I know someone on WUS that had shop with them. wanted to get the LE Zenith but its rubber and blue, not something classic..
good review, smooth transaction. one of the few grey market dealers that provide dealer stamp warranty card.

the current design looks retro to me.

just get it since u like it. I think U are attracted to the red dial.
if U look at value for money.. at this price range 1.2k and wanna a chrono.. i think Seiko, Orient more value for money.

i heard that Ball movements are ETA too. Now i'm torn between Ball Aviator and Tag Aquaracer Calibre 5. Any recommendation?

btw, where do you guys normally get replica? online?

how about original from local shops ? any recommendation that shops with fair price?
*
Ball do mod some of their ETA movement.
Ball or Tag... BALL!!!!!!!!!!!
build quality pretty much same same... some guy here went diving with his ball and found water condensing inside. still under warranty so went in to get it fixed.

99% of the joes here not going for replica... wrong thread

Ball or Tag.. prices thru AD are controlled... at most u find discount vary 1-4% depending on sales person.
so long u getting thru D.. their prices are fair..
thru gray market dealers.. support local.. go collectorstime.com

No man... I don't like ocean7, not Mkii. Mkii is cool. Yea the Glycine's on k1 mineral glass front and back, and I really didn't think it would be so easily scratched. The culprit was a concrete wall, concrete wei omg.
*
Oops my bad.. bad memory..
for the price u paid for a Glycine can get a MKII right? since MKii starts at around US$615. custom build better yet regulated to 6 positions.
unlike most watches at this price range only regulated to 3 positions
I am those ppl if ask me to pay > US$400 for a non sapphire crystal.. its a big No-No

couldn't afford a Co-axle Omega, here is a alternative Sinn!

75X series come with this new Diapal escapement. although the movement is 7750, one don't have to service that frequently.

these few day also walk around watch shop....
and found some choice. and hope to get some opinion frm sifu here.

Mido multifort chrono(7750 (Valjoux)) around RM4500

Junkers 6218m-1(7750 (Valjoux)) around RM3100
http://www.pointtec.de/junkers/6218M-1/

Hamilton X Wind(7750 (Valjoux)) around RM4200

Hamilton belowzero 1000m (ETA 2826) around RM4500
http://www.mattbaily.ca/brands/hamilton/pr...000m-h78585333/

or other better option?
*
will u be diving? is so take the Hamilton.

Junkers, Hamilton do nothing with their 7750. just get the 1 the design or price please u.
Mido decorate the movement more.
http://www.watchwear.com/mido/M0056141603101/

if pay RM4500, i rather get a Guinand ( guinand-watch.com ) series 20 or 21, same grade 7750, nicely finish/decorated too.
owned by Sinn founder, can't go wrong with quality and value for $$! a review on the 40 series claim watch only gain 1-2 secs a day. My Hamilton on 7750 more like 4secs.
U can find alot of love from WUS forumers.

The Jean Richard Bressel Alternativ 1665 looks nice....any comments on this brand and pricing?
http://www.collectorstime.com/new-watches.php
*
Jean Richard make great watches. JR 1000 is their 1st inhouse movement and irrc they didn't even rely on their famous sister company Girard-Perregaux!! unlike other lux brands such as JLC, A Lange etc they didn't do much decorative finishing.
got 1 older model for my sibling a yr ago, movement is base off ETA (compare it with a Oris, the base ETA movement already so much better, not to mentioned on a Jean Richard its Mod). resale value is weak but U are getting a good watch (inhouse movement with power reserve, date, regulator style) for little money.

a nice review on the movement

Ya man, below is the comments by the watchmaker:

"Found your watch problem last night, the hair spring is chucked up after putting aside for long time maybe, so shorter portion is springing. I've removed the whole balance part and wash it with WD40 and now your watch is runnig fine within 10 second after 15 hours! So it should be ok now for wearing"
*
how much did it cost u to get it fix? how much did they refund U? 20% of the cost of the watch?

just wondering why so much discount is given? normally, good swiss watches dont go beyond 35% unless if its clearance or very special offer...  sweat.gif
collectorstime is no AD.
its gray market!!!!! in gray markets discount can be as steep as 80% off retail. In fact that JR watch I only paid US$350+, comes with everything.. packaging (instructional manual and warranty card) certainly looks expensive.

if U had done a satisfying gray marketing shopping b4, u wouldn't go back to AD.
