QUOTE(patryn33 @ Apr 27 2010, 10:41 AM) TAG? Suggest Retail in the U.S. and Canada for approximately US$1,200 for the non-diamond and US$1,700 for the diamond models. Movement only cost USD16? Even cheaper than ETA clone from China? On Tag site its on ETA F05.111, here the movement cost US$16. the case and bracelet cost a bomb. |

QUOTE(Jr.Koh @ Apr 27 2010, 12:23 AM) HW-Racer : post some shots yes... if not for the generous discounts ,,,and pricing going up... i won't pull the trigger so fast... actually the orange bezel Diver II is nice too... like the night lume on this Diver II (T25) better than my previous Night Train (T100 lume) and Firemen I..maybe because the numerals lume make it stand out and not so boring.... I guess should be below RM3k the price can vary. even for other MkII models with 2824, the price varies from usd700-1100. hopefully below rm3k err... limited edition? i hope not! but.... i think it is!! WTF??!?!!? potong stim!!! he has closed pre-orders, and there are only 100 units for general ordering. 100... aiseh.... interesting discussion on fake-replica-homage watches http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2268 just checked mkii's website. turned out, i overlooked kingston's ordering page all along! coz it's under LIMITED EDITION page... aiyah!!!! whats the pt of using a ETA 2836 since there isn't day date display?
the diff btw ETA 2836 and 2824 is the day. ETA 2824 don't have day. 2836 belong to the same family as 2824. ETA 289X series then is a upgrade from 2824 family. that MKII Kingston, pre ordering alreadying going on, 200 pcs are gone! prices already out. size maybe nice for miaopurr, close to 40mm Pre-order Price: USD$700 on bracelet plus S&H Standard Price: USD$875.00 on bracelet plus S&H http://www.mkiiwatches.com/WSWrapper.jsp?m...le_kingston.htm owner of MK2.. wont Rolex seek legal issues with them? both models look very similar...
or perhaps they already got special agreement with Rolex? I might be wrong, but Panerai are quite particular about this... This post has been edited by nando: Apr 28 2010, 10:14 AM |

QUOTE(nando @ Apr 27 2010, 12:33 PM) this type? issue with alot German mechanical clocks parts are brass made. according to the watchmaker here. They told me only can last 30-40yrs then I would need to get a new movement! they only recommend me to service it 1 time after 5-10yrs then don't service it as its not worth the money. here it cost over US$150 to get it cleaned and oil. a new movement may cost close to price of new clock.http://www.cuckookingdom.com/_e/1_Day_Chal...odel_1674_9.htm ![]() |

QUOTE(nando @ Apr 28 2010, 10:05 AM) wont Rolex seek legal issues with them? I doubt Rolex can do anything, I doubt the design is patent or copyright.I might be wrong, but Panerai are quite particular about this... so many homage on Pam too, what can they do so long didn't violate any patent/copyright laws they cannot do anything. thats why U still see Pammy homages around. their special locking mech, 1-2mths ago I saw on magazine a new company just patent a very similar locking device. eg magrette or RXW even Vollmer. http://www.magrette.com/the-timepieces-moana-pacific-pvd.php http://www.southerncross-time.com/eng/marina.html Added on April 28, 2010, 10:24 am QUOTE(nando @ Apr 28 2010, 10:15 AM) i like it!! haha... I wonder if there is a feature to turn it off at nite. some mech clocks do have that. oh dear cheap ones don't have this nite shut off switch.. just got a US$140 traffic ticket last week... sign.. http://www.cuckookingdom.com/_e/Specials/p...odel_71_9HZ.htm http://www.cuckookingdom.com/_e/page/1004/...nstructions.htm QUOTE 13) Many models come with a night shut-off switch which turns the cuckoo and/or music off. The shut-off lever is located on the side of the clock or can be a push-pull rod located underneath the clock. This post has been edited by patryn33: Apr 28 2010, 10:31 AM |
