You'll have to buy from Apple's Online Education Store. You will need a credit card. It will then be delivered to your shipping address.

Just got back my MBP! The data's all intact, thank goodness. I asked the salesperson what had been replaced exactly, but he said the service centre never furnished any details to them, just that "repairs were done". When I turned it on though, the date was reset to January, 2000/2001 (can't remember which). Hmm.
Also, I checked "About This Mac", and the video card is still the same one: NVIDIA 8600M GT. I'm a bit "eh" because what if it spoils again? And since no exact details were given on what went wrong in the first place, I've no way to know what not to do to trigger it again. Oh, well. I got it back, and my data's still all there, so it's all good-ish.

It's more like allocation of the amount of ram for parallels.

If you want to play high end games, you need to run windows by itself via bootcamp (NOT in mac osx via parallels or vmware). That way it can natively utilize the full graphics capabilities of the computer. Otherwise the only other way to do it is to use crossover or wine/darwine which sort of runs the game natively in mac osx without windows.

"Note: These settings cannot be changed when the virtual machine is running." for more info, click Help tab in Parallels and search for "RAM".. click on the first topic which appears.. yeah for gaming it is better to use Boot Camp to fully utilize your resources..

Bootcamp is abit like partition magic. It lets u to create another partition and enable you to install windows on mac machine If you want gaming, use bootcamp. Parallels or any virtualization software are NOT FOR GAMING purpose. It a pain in the ass. lulz
