after read out the info in this thread i still confused ...
i have been told by the seller that my iphone is contract phone aka officially unlocked, is it true? so he told me that i can upgrade directly from itunes whenever necessary
my phone model is MB500ZA so according to the list its considered singapore set, but i find out on'cydia" under 'manage" icon the yellow snow had been installed ....
so is it my phone the official unlock or the software unlock?
TQ inadvance

TQ inadvance Since it's a Singtel unit, you can try deleting yellowsn0w and see if your iPhone is truly officially unlock by default. That's the best way to know. @rthj
I called Apple Malaysia and they mentioned that there's no support for AppleCare For iPhone and only certain countries covers AppleCare for iPhone. like US etc.
Please refer to the first thead of this post @ Section 'E' : Additional Tips To Keep In Mind: 2. AppleCare For iPhone

thanks for the responses.
is there a general list of which countries where applecare is available for iphone? does one have to go to individual apple sites to check if this is available?
e.g. iphone purchased in singapore and using it in France. assuming applecare is available in France, is it possible to get it for the iphone?

No, service for eligible repairs is only available in the country where your iPhone was originally purchased. QUOTE d. This Plan is offered and valid only in the United States of America. This Plan is not offered to persons who have not reached the age of majority. This Plan may not be available in all states, and is not available where prohibited by law. link 1 and link 2

Docks were only available for 2G iPhones. The Dock connector is the USB cable with the "Dock Connector" pin. This post has been edited by davidgary73: May 29 2009, 03:03 PM
