iphone5 will launch around june/july... God knows when will reach malaysia, maybe september or october. so u decide if u want to wait or not. dun tell me later iphone5 come out, u ask again should wait for iphone6 or not. if u want an iphone4 right now, juz go buy, nothing wrong with that. we should be buying gadgets bcuz it makes out life easier, not bcuz want to show off about having the latest toys

yes the back cover is made of glass. so get a casing. even rm10 ones should be able to protect ur phone if u drop it

I am a uni student right now, planning to get an Iphone 4. I've got a few dilemmas and I'd hope you guys here, doing the great job you've been as a community, could help me.
I'm going to fly off in feb 2012, or latest, sept 2012.

So I've read through the posts and links, and right now, my 1st dilemma is

16GB or 32GB Iphone 4?

I don't think I use a lot of space, (my music library is about 4gig or less, don't intend to include a lot of shows,) but this is my first Iphone, and I'm not sure whether a 16Gb is enough since I have no idea about App sizes etc. For example, on average, how many Apps can fit a 16GB Iphone 4, without movies or music?

Maxis or Digi?
As mentioned before, I am leaving to another country in 2012, I do have a brother I can pass the sim card down to, but I'd prefer to no be bounded by any contract as soon as possible. Also I do hear that those above 2 plans give a good subsidy for the pricing, which leaves me with 3 options:

1.) Maxis
2.) Digi
3.) Go to singapore and get a non-contracted one. (RM2507 for 32GB and RM2125 for 16gb one)

That is all for now, I do look forward to your replies!
Thanks in advance!

if u don't care about money, bought 32GB, u'll not worry about the space left, but i'm pretty sure u from a rich guy biggrin.gif

u can buy Maxis and Digi set without contract, and also Singapore set. but if u buy Maxis or Digi set, it's quite easy to claim warranty.

for me, 16GB not enough cry.gif

My iPhone 4 is 16GB, which is quite enough for me at the moment. Currently I have around 130 applications, some photos and e-books on my phone.
They take up around 7GB, my apps alone take up 5.6GB. FYI, I don't put any music or video on my phone and I'm just an average gamer.

Most of the applications are relatively small, except for some large gaming and GPS applications. The largest game I have on my phone is around 200MB.
It all depends on how you want to use your phone.

But I personally think that 4GB of music might be inadequate, especially if you're one of those people that get bored of music in about 1 to 2 weeks and have to constantly update their music library, like me, then I'd suggest you to go with 32GB as the space goes quick.

Also, keep in mind that you never get the full amount of memory. The real capacity is usually smaller than the specified number, just like our computer.
The capacity on a 16GB iPhone is 14GB.
The capacity on a 32GB iPhone is 29GB.

I currently using 16gb iPhone too.. Tell you what.. 16gb of storage is insufficient. Even a FIFA 11 can eat your 1.1gb of space d.. Try and think...

Frankly speaking, do you play all those HUGE game on your iPhone all the time? Or you just install them and put there? Maybe open it once a while?

For me I don't install huge games on iPhone. It's still a phone. I rather play games on computer. I only play some mini/puzzle games on iPhone, where each round maybe took 1~3 minutes time to kill some free time.
