Hi..I need help..When I apply the screen protector, the dirts trapped inside. Is it possible to remove the screen protector? It looks ugly..Somebody please help. Thanks
*
Hi Ikmal03,

I just change my screen protector and there is a dust trapped inside too. The guy from PDA expert use
masking tape to pull the screen protector up and use another masking tape to removed the dust/dirt.
It work very well. You can try your self, look easy.

Added on February 22, 2009, 5:45 pmHi Kylinlee/Baronic,

Do we still need to tweak the HD (using either HD Tweak or Advance Config) after we flash new ROM (Dutty V1.8) ?

Thanks.

Depend to individual; If some of settings u prefer to another way, u may use HD TWEAK or ADVANCE CONFIG to adjust.
Example. I prefer 4 icons in a row, so I re-adjust using HD TWEAK.
*
Thanks kylinlee.

I think my HD screen got problem (hopefully it is bug from Dutty Rom V1.8).
When I go to white background (eg. ActiveSync) there is light turquoise color
at the right hand side but if I go to "start" --> "Program" white background,
it look okay (all white, no light turquoise).

Do you or anyone has this problem? Hopefully not my lcd problem.

Sorry, Daneva. I just flashed to another cooked ROM, can't help u to verify ur issue.

Below r the issues I encountered on Dutty's v1.80:-

a) Click on DIAL (1st button), if u try to press 01x-xxxxxxx, I noticed that the system will stop response after u press the 1st digit, "0";
Please take note on signal icon which on top bar, it'll turn to no connection (with "!"), then back to normal in 5-8 seconds.

b) If u try to remove any or all words @ ET9MYWORDS, most of the time, the system will hang and require soft reset.
*
Just tested it out and I do not encounter any problem on the above. The problem I have is
when u click on the call history and delete one of the caller, sometime it delete and sometime
not deleted.

I managed to solve (I guess) the turquoise color on the right hand side by going to "Start" --> "Setting" --->
"Today" and choose window default. And repeat the above again and choose back "HTC Black".
When I go to white background (eg. ActiveSync), no more light turquoise color at right hand side (a bit funny huh).

One more thing, when u flash another rom, do u need to hard reset as I remember u said only need
hard reset for 1st time flash Rom? If no need to hard reset, is my data all intact ? (yesterday I went
to PDA Expert at Mid Valley to reinstall Mapking, Garmin and WKTASK as all data is gone when
I flash Dutty Rom V1.8. I request the guy to copy Garmin and Mapking to my memory card)

Thanks for the above trial. I've same problem even I re-flashed.
Tentatively I already switched to Davideuck v5 and waiting for Dutty new release before March 1st.
Yes, always require HARD RESET after flash to new ROM.
Flash to new ROM will erase all of ur present data.
No.

Ah, since Dutty plan to have new release, I will wait for his new release (just love the Calendar).
Thanks for your reply and do keep me posted if Dutty release new ROM rclxms.gif

I don' thave the white background issue like you have. But here's my Dutty 1.8 ROM problem:
1. the "X/ OK" button always disappear after every soft-reset. Need to reconfigure again via Settings -> System -> Task Manager -> Button.
2. Occasionally hang / freeze (but recoverable after maybe 2 ~ 3 minutes). Still can't see a way to always reproduce the hang, so not sure what is causing it.

There's new Radio : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485393
Davideuck V5 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=468178
Davideuck WM6.5 !! V3 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475285

Haven't tried any of those ROM yet. But tried the new Radio, so far so good.
*
Thanks a lot maesus. Will probably try the new radio. If not mistaken, no need to hard reset for
Radio flash, right?

Dutty already mentioned that v1.9 will be released before March 1st. And the most important, this is the last ROM he contributed to XDA.

He is leaving... I'm sad too!
*
Yup, very sad since my first time flash rom happend to be his.
BTW, how to download Dutty V1.7 from http://www.duttythroy.net/download-area.ht...nc=select&id=34 ?
Do I need to be a member first?

Some FAQ:
FAQ: What are CVSD and MSVC.
Solution: CVSD is Cyberon Voice Speed Dial which is mostly the default voice application in most shipped ROMs. MSVC is Microsoft Voice Command which is an advance voice application from MS.
Unfortunately I use NONE of them... can't tell you actual experience (actually I don't know how to use them... :$)
*
Noted, thanks maesus. So I guess if Dutty V1.9 not out by tomorrow, I will flash Dutty's
HD V1.7 5.2.20769.1.4.5 Full CVSD as not to face 1st Mar 09.

CVSD - U can record ur voice to do some simple command such as DIAL, ...

MSVC - Actually built by Cyberon with more powerful feature; When incoming call, the system will read the incoming caller ID or number,...

I prefer MSVC icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks kylinlee, okay will use MSVC if Dutty V1.9 is not release by tomorrow.

Yup, thanks Baronic.

Hi all,

The new Dutty Rom V1.9 is stable but I like the V1.8 Calendar, current new version calendar cannot
go into detail (only show appointment date and time but not the detail).... cry.gif

Two more bugs that;

1) Click call history, select one of the history call (eg. John) and click on the menu to "delete all", it will only delete today calls make by John. Yesterday and below history calls will not be deleted.

2) The call duration (in history call) contain only up to minutes. For eg. if John make call 12 minutes 30 secs, it will display as "Duration: 0:12". If call duration is 26 secs, it will show as "Duration: 0:00". I think this is a very small bug that can be easily solve.

I view photo and it turn to landscape mode, no go crazy..... brows.gif

BTW, can you confirm the below, is your HD also having below issue?

1) Click call history, select one of the history call (eg. John) and click on the menu to "delete all", it did not delete the calls, only can delete via "clear calls log"
2) The call duration (in history call) contain only up to minutes. For eg. if John make call 12 minutes 30 secs, it will display as "Duration: 0:12". If call duration is 26 secs, it will show as "Duration: 0:00". I think this is a very small bug that can be easily solve.

The calendar in V1.8 can show up to detail, but in V1.9, it only show "Time" and "Subject", cannot go further than that.

Hi Benny,

Thanks for the trouble shoot, now the Calendar looks okay (like V1.8) but still have
issue on Delete Call History and Call Duration, probably some apps I installed or
PIM restore (contact) cause this problem. Will flash V1.9b and test again.

p/s : kylinlee/maesus, have you flash the Dutty V1.9 rom?

Cheers.

Hi Benny888,

I just installed Dutty V1.9b and did not installed and 3rd party apps. The below bug still happend. So weird why
others do not have this probem.

1) Click call history, select one of the history call (eg. John) and click on the menu to "delete all", it did not delete the calls, only can delete via "clear calls log"

Hi kylinlee,

Stupid question, is this for HTC HD (just need to confirm before I flash)?

I found few bugs in Dutty V1.9b (probably only my HTC HD as no one reported the problem that I had),
so will try to flash davideuck new rom.

Thanks in advance.
