I have been using HTC HD for almost 3 months and it's only hot (well actually a little bit hot only) when charging.
Also little hot when I'm using it.

If it is very hoooooooooot, then something must be wrong. Bring back to the shop.

I just bought my HTC HD as well, the Hot is common to PDA phone i supposed...

Hi,i just call out sis centre ask for the htc touch HD extended warranty.They told me different model have their different price for warranty extended...is it true..?the quote me for 135.do any other places can be cheaper?i bought the set from ACTION in Sg.Wang.When i bought they dint told me anything about extended warranty.Could anyone can give me some guide?Thank a lot ya

Why i put wmv file into it can't play by windows media player (play by a no name player) & can't view horizontal? How i open with the windows media player? Besides, i put H.264 640x480 .avi file, can't play it, what happened?

Added on March 15, 2009, 1:01 amThe reseller told me battery for the first time need to charge for more than 10hours and remaining time for 3-4hours. If i charge for the 2nd time, can i charge more than 4 hours like i charge at night 12am then 7am switch off, can?

I'd say Chinese CE star is the best option so far ; if you are just looking at viewing Chinese characters only there are few options ( all freeware). PM me and I can send you the cab file

Anyone can help me solve this problem? After i installed CE-STAR and Google Maps on my HD, then yesterday i switch off my phone to charge the battery, after 4 hours i switch on the power, but something happened to it, it start up from the words "smart mobility" after that become black screen already even can't reach the logo HTC. The following screen came out as shown below:



Is it CE-STAR problem? Pls guide me, thanx!

Hard Reset is only your options. just press [send]

CEStar? could be conflict with others applications? after hardreset try installing only CE-Star to see this problem still occur.

Hey guys .... i am lookin for a case / pouch for my HD. I wan the kind same with the pouch that comes with the phone, but i wan it in leather. Anywhere got sell ? or wat brand has it.
I went to Apple store and capdase does have it for iphone, i tried with my HD but HD is a little too thick to fit it.

personally I don't like to use pouch (too tedious to carry in/out), but the big screen on touch HD really made me think twice and finally I still use a pouch to protect it from being damage by some sharp edge or whatever, duh!



You can either use Google Droid fonts (consists of Chi Simp, Chi Trad, Jap, Kor) and it was supposed to used on Android phones, someone has ported it to Windows mobile.

Pros:
-FREE!! Read-only
-Very compact size compared to other similar font packages
-It's GOOGLE branded, lol

Cons:
-The font is too big.....I tried it and the installation was successful. Chinese words are displayed correctly, the only one thing I don't like is the bigger characters were shown in SMS compose. Maybe someone has better idea?

You can go for sunglobe.cab (FREE!! read only) which is what I'm using now, it supports Chi Simp and Chi Trad (don't know about jap and kor since I don't use it), it's pretty small in size, here goes:

Hi all sifu,

I have a question here regarding the Car Charger.

I bought a brand-X car cigarette lighter type USB charger from a shop in low yat last weekend, it jz the plug-head with USB port at the back, i want to use the ORIGINAL USB cable that bundled with our HD with this cigi-type charger head.

Since the car cigi socket output is DC12V-24V, and our HD required DC5.0V ± 0.5A, i wonder whether the combination of the charger and USB cable usage will be harmful to our HD? I don't want my HD to get burn because of the miss-use of the charger voltage...

Kindly share your idea and experience with me, as i need to travel outstation and need to use my HD as my sat nav.
