I dunno what to think now, after i saw the comparison of specs between zephyr, falcon & jasper,
I really do believe that the Jasper is the 3ROD killer. Well we all just have to wait and see first huh?

3rod happens 2 ways:

1)the mobo flex bcos of heat causing the gpu popping out from the mobo
2)The artifacts u c on the screen is bcos of the gpu die solder is broke from the gpu chip cause by heat

Lets hope the new 65nm gpu has eliminated this issue

i thought 3rrod cause by faulty HDD and etc also?

huh? faulty hdd? got nothing to do with hdd la..the red light only appears..when the motherboard got problem...nth related to hdd...

It related to power & DVD drive somehow. and it's documented in a list as 3RRoD secondary error. You may google it for more details

maybe the heat la...other than nth relate..

no, they're related to HDD, DVD, network or even software error as well......

yea would like to know if i what is the version of xbox 360 if i were to buy in Singapore...is it compatible to all games since most of the xbox owners here are SG version as well right? it's selling SG$499 now...so is that a Jasper model d?

have to check the volt,date manufactured and other stuff on the xbox...

Basically we have NTSC-J for japan & asia market, NTSC-U/C for US and Canada & PAL for Europe & australia.

You can't tell they're jasper until you checked the console. They use 150W Power brick & 12.1A on 12v voltage. Read the console label and you'll know if iti is jasper.

so for malaysia..which one should i get...ntsc or pal? do i need to ask the salesperson? i jasper even out in Singapore ?

Ya, I own a JASPER. I always play around 3-4hours, no problem... The unit is not hot at all.

I think you better go for JASPER.. MY PS3 is sitting next to it collecting dust
Waiting for White Knight Chronicles to be release.. In the meantime, I have Tales Of Vesperia, Last Remnant, Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Blue Dragon and Gears Of War 2 to accompany me.

You should get NTSC-J Asia for an obvious reason...... games for other region is quite hard to get here.....

Even with Falcon, My friend I I can marathon it for 8 hrs and download demo for a straight week and it never show sign of fatigue. This is when not using the external cooler.

The machine 3RRoD 8 months later probably due to bad maufacturing as the current set claimed from singapore works really well as it's silent, fasterrespond & the power button feels better than the previous set.

I've DIYed an external cooler to ease my mind on 3RRoD although logically it won't help much.

If you still intend to buy an external cooler, my advice is DO NOT USE XBOX360's OWN POWER. It'll cause scorching on the xbox connector and damage the machine + M$ will not entertain this kinda claim.

My Xbox360 officially dead cuz of 3ROD... so dead after 2 years lifespan. Going to get my X360 Jasper set later today. Hope it's really free from 3ROD.
