Haha, the clash of the titans makes an interesting discussion about the psychology behind a person's desire to succeed.

Even if it is sam's intention to "show off" out of ego, i think it is nothing wrong. Different ppl have different motivation for achieving a goal. It looks like sam's motivation is to bring down TA principles. Seng became his target could be because last time seng's critisized him( I don't know) or hurt him(through words) in some ways. So it could be a motivation out of revenge and also a show off of mental superiority. Who knows? Watever it is, i'm sure a lot of ppl benefited from both parties for their willingness to share their views! Thanks to both.

I think showing off wealth is pretty common and comes in many forms. Scanning bank book may not be a popular way to do it, but riding in an expensive car or wearing an expensive watch sure is! To me it is not much different. That's why there is such thing called "branded". On top of wat ppl think as "quality", it is really the price tag that they want to show off! Branded clothes, big house in up class location etc etc.
The fact that the whole world knows about Buffett contribution of billions to Gate's foundation is also showing off. "I am so rich that i can afford to give so much away!" Otherwise we wont know about it. I believe there are many large charities that go unheard of.

The ppl that show off the most are also the ones we enjoy seeing and reading the most. All those famous actors/actresses.

Underneath the desire to show off is actually the need to gain respect. I think this need reside in every human, to be acknowledged and be respected by another human. I don't think Sam "forcefully" show off. He doesn't have a gun pointing at anyone to read his blog.

Watever the 2 of them has against each other, i hope both gurus continue to blog as i have learned a lot from them.

If you have a public BLOG, you already have a DESIRE to seek attention. Doesn't matter who benefits from reading the blog, or weather the readers have a choice not to read or to read.

That's why you have girls with BLOGS everywhere talking about their personal life etc.

Well, just OT a bit. Let set aside Ego first.

Sam does give me the impression that Fundamental Analysis actually works . I believe many forumers could have agreed. . The book does speak for itself. And since there are many new babies in our forums, they would not listen unless there is a proof , right ? Otherwise, they just learn through expensive DIY method. It is a form of motivation , positive thinker I mean.

In any cos, the top producers are also the motivational force for others, the Possible way, not the Holland one.

I would not say TA is not good, but perhaps the combination of two are even better.

Sam does show me the path, i.e through Fundamental Analysis is the right and correct way.

How I am supposed to know, well that so called EGO passbook says it.

The Chinese say a picture meant a thousand words put together. Windows and internet are on that track too.

Yup both TA and FA are not 100% accurate. Depends on which analysis you prefer or you may use both.
I beliv all the CEO, DIRECTOR got "makan duit" of the company for sure. For example, i give you this contract you give me this sum of money bla bla .....
All these sure we cannot see in the annual report.

For FA, i will chose those companies which is predictable and stable earnings and finally dividends of course i will make sure that company continue to pay dividend every year and don have any records of negative EPS.

So cos would like to "bribe" you with slightly better dividends, hopefully you close both the eyes for the next 5 years.

Actually if we follow sam's blog website since few years back.. we will know know why Sam hate some of the hardcore TA guys.
This is not the 1st time they challenged SAM .. it happened few times before. Sam alwys have a much better results to show and prove not like
those TA guys that try to beat around the bushes when their calls get hit badly.

Target of the Breakout on the Head and Shoulder on 2008 Dec (the vertical line on chart).

Currently, if the price manage to close above the downtrend Trendline, we will heading fibo23.6 as first Target

If you look on daily chart. market have stopped making LOWER LOW. Indicating there is a reversal of trend or maybe consolidation.

I spoke with my OSK remiser this evening, he predict next week our KLSE most likely will go up again.. Prediction only k...
He also says can grab OSK if price close to RM1,, giving out dividen 5sen.. better than FD.. OSK wont bungkus.
IOICorp might drop back to rm3.50 dun chase at current 4,,.. can grab slowly.

My strategy? Told before ..
Set 3-5 lvl of averaging down stock if price drop for good counters.
Go for defence stocks counter

I 'll reduce total unit shares i have, will take some profit next week for my earlier purchased at 0.79... the other remaining units i'll see how Zelan will perform.
See how market will react after Obama take over and how the financial stimulus can hlp boost the market mid and early FEb. If not so encouraging, will keep for its dividen.
If drop till 0.75...average down abit.. Zelan have about 9% shares in IJM -> IJM Plantations. IJM Plantation is doing quite well. EPF still haven't unload any of its shares yet in Zelan.
See wats MMC plan for Zelan after they take over end of Jan.. add Zelan to Power plant player will be good.

This is daily chart for TWSCORP.

Right now we are making higher lows, and higher highs and we will soon touch the multi months DT.

Looks like a potential reversal.

how about LCL as today research house said target price is rm1.09.

I'm not sure about 1.09 or not. But as far as I concern. We breakout the Downtrend channel. Since that day. The price is making higher high, but in the same time, the market bounces back and holding above 0.70. 0.70 acting as a strong support currently. As long as it doesn't break down 0.70, the chances of going to 1.09 always there. But if 0.70 broke, then who know?
