sub 300 range I would probably go for Logitech G430 or Razer Kraken Pro..
currently reviewing a i-Rocks A05 which is pretty good but has yet to officially launch in Malaysia
it's probably gonna launch at sub RM250 range but don't quote me on that laugh.gif
btw if you can top up about rm30.. can get SteelSeries Siberia V2 which I wholeheartedly recommend whistling.gif

hmmm.. any reviews for Razer Kraken Pro and SS Siberia V2? Comfort and sounds etc etc ?

sound wise the Kraken Pro has a heavier bass compared to Siberia V2 but V2 has better vocal performance in my experience.
comfort wise really depends on your taste, the Kraken Pro will just sit comfortably on your head;
while the Siberia V2 will clamp your head since their design is based on the signature self-adjusting headband.
the Siberia V2 might sound very uncomfortable, but I can say it isn't as bad as it sounds, just needs some getting used to.

There aren't a lot of IEMs that would cost around the price of the SS Flux In-ears and have the same amount of bass extension. I do agree, it isn't tight enough and can be a little too boomy.
If you don't require an in-line mic, you might want to take a look at the Shure SE215. It's presented with better presentation at the mids and also being brighter on the treble. Bass is more controlled and more refined.

In any case the SE215 may not be your cup of tea as it is still considered a bass-heavy IEM, but not over in quantity which would qualify it for bassheads. It's just a little bit more controlled than the Flux and doesn't extend as deep, but you still might not find it tight enough for your liking if you want something even tighter.

Hard to recommend something if you don't specify a budget.

oh, price range should be around RM200 up to RM400. inline mic is not that necessary.

In that case, do check out the Shure SE215. The Beyerdynamic XP3 is also a decent choice, for about RM200.

No. RM500 and lower and I'd say it's a good deal. RM700, lol... I'd pay for a AKG K612 and get a lapel mic instead.

I'd rather buy a Beyerdynamic Custom ONE Pro plus the Mic cable for MILES BETTER sound and cheaper. But I guess for wireless gaming headsets your have to go with the Astros.

Not trying to sound snobbish, but that's an utter waste of money.

A common misconception, since when did audiophile headphones are only used for recording and for nothing else? The K612 will handedly beat any gaming headsets out there, on all aspects.

If you absolutely need an integrated mic and don't mind subpar to decent-at best sound quality, under RM500 I can only recommend the Siberia V2. Otherwise if you care about sound quality at all, Creative Aurvana Live + cheap lapel mic from DX.com

hi, sifoos and gamers...
i stumble upon this thread while looking for headsets for gaming purpose. can kindly please recommend me a wireless headset. my details are:

Platform: PS3/PS4 and PC/Laptop
Game type: FPS (BF3/4, COD), adventure and racing (GT5/6, NFS, F1..etc)
Budget: max RM1k (makan megi mode for 5 month) tongue.gif
Special criteria: Wireless, Prefer over ear for my large head, prefer cloth than leather/leatherette, dun care if 2.1/7.1, multi platform

Current headset/iem/headphone:

1. Razer Chimeara 2.1: good set of headset. i own 2 actually after the 1st one broken (transmitter/base no signal) i buy a chimeara again. pair with a turtle beach DSS surrond processor.
2. Logitech G230: Dont like it at all, comfort and sound is terrible (and not wireless)
3. Sony Pulse Elite 7.1: Best headset for playstation but not multiplatform sad.gif
4. Razer Electra: good travelling headset. love it. but too small and leatherette cushion gets hot
5. Plantronic back beat go 2: good sound and comfort to pair with a psvita
6. Siberia v2: too tight sad.gif

thinking to get the astro A50 or Steelseries H wireless.

by reading pages on this thread..it made me wonder, maybe i should invest in a headset made by audio specialist like audio technika, bayerdymanic etc...

any sugesstion?

thank you
Daniixo
