I wouldn't say that, I still enjoy the virtual 7.1 audio with gaming headsets, it does feel more immersive

Why not use virtual surround on proper headphones to get even better sound quality instead?

You got a point there, but I don't see any 7.1 USB soundcard sold seperately... and Razer Surround software just plain sucks --always messes up the audio settings in my PC.

But like the Logitech G430, it's not bad mah

There are plenty of USB virtual surround processors out there.
Asus Xonar U3, Asus Xonar U1, Asus Xonar U7, Creative Recon3D, Creative Soundblaster Omni, Astro Mixamp, TurtleBeach DSS, just to name a few.

Xonar U series are external and Xonar DG/DGX is internal. Obviously the Xonar DG has a better DAC, a better headphone amp, slightly better circuitary.
Xonar DG is of course better, but as they are both entry-level products, the difference isn't huge.

they said g230 is better than g430. because the usb from g430 is not that good compare to g230 audio. Both the same except g430 got the usb sound card.

How about budget?

i never use they 7.1 function and the include sound card, i plug the headset using my creative usb 5.1 sound card, not bad for me the sound.mic also good.

Guys, can rekomen any gaming headset that is around the budget of RM300?

sub 300 range I would probably go for Logitech G430 or Razer Kraken Pro..
currently reviewing a i-Rocks A05 which is pretty good but has yet to officially launch in Malaysia
it's probably gonna launch at sub RM250 range but don't quote me on that
btw if you can top up about rm30.. can get SteelSeries Siberia V2 which I wholeheartedly recommend
