Hi guys, newbie here, and I'm so glad to run into this thread. I'm using a Sennheiser HD558, and like some of you here stated, I do not have a mic, which becomes a huge issue when I scrim with my platoon mates. I have a to wear my sister's headset around my neck just to use it's Mic and look like a retard in the process, wearing two headsets at the same time.

I've looked at the zalman and antlion mics, but there doesn't seem to be a local distributor. Really not keen on ordering from overseas. Help please!! Let me know if there are other brands or mics which I can just clip on and use, and does not involve changing cables or Any modifications, preferably under RM100.

Thanks.

Need something like this you mean?

http://dx.com/p/mini-clip-on-microphone-7080

I think those PC shops, should be able to find something similar but expect to pay maybe RM15 for it.

I recently ordered this http://dx.com/p/xty-operator-style-earbud-...ophone-set-2631. Not yet arrived.

Just want the mic as it is flexi mic boom and small/light size of it, will probably allow me to somehow stick it to a headphone with maybe a double sided tape. Just want to test it out to see how it fits.

Yeah its very hard to find these basic types which people can use to mod.

I can only think maybe in Jln Pasar or Imbi Plaza can find these things. But I never got time to go browse there.

Order for you ah? Errr, I think you better order yourself for this. Coz I haven't got the item yet. It might never even reach me. Who knows. sweat.gif

But will update here once I get it. nod.gif

I'm still studying man, and I have no car or credit cards. So that's why I originally posted I didn't want to order anything from overseas or buy from far away places.

And hahhaha I'm just asking. Let me know how it goes when you do recieve it and test it. biggrin.gif

I won't get Turtle Beach anymore if possible. I prefer headset with clear sound since I play GW2 and BF4. I talk a lot on Team Speak so ya clear sound, if got a bit of bass that will be nice as well a bonus for me biggrin.gif

Steelseries Siberia V2.

Don't have to get those official Malaysian units. Get from those who imported from the US, grey sets as they called it. If you know how to dig in Garage Sales, you can get one for RM279 (IIRC). Siberia V2 has that excellent balance of bass and treble.. good for games and the mic is pretty clear too brows.gif Mine lasted for almost 4 years before giving in. Good investment

Hello need some recommendations.

I have around rm 200 to spend on this headset.

1) mic is a must
2) i wear spectacles, i don't want the headset to clamp too tightly
3) good quality of both mic and sound. (my previous headphone was monoprice 8323)
4) want an upgrade from monoprice 8323 in term of audio and +mic

Low budget cause i'm upgrading my mouse and mousepads at the same time icon_question.gif

If you are wearing specs, maybe should get something that sits on your ears instead of covering them.. hmm.

Hey, just a question.

The A50 is so expensive, why did you buy Astro product when you can spend the money can get audiophile headphones like Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic or even Sennheiser?

Just curious hmm.gif

wireless, decent sound. plug and play for console, for pc, no need fiddle with much settings, comfy. Most important factor would be wireless. Some ppl have money to burn, they have their own audiophile headset for audio listening purpose, while a50 for gaming.

Important is whether u got the money to burn or not. no money to burn normally go for value buy, got money go for whatever that is expensive, even with marginal improvement and pay extra for stuffs like wireless, ANC, bla bla. when u buy 1k+ audiophile headset, u need to buy DAC la, head amp to drive it la, alot of things u need to fiddle with. Not everyone wanna fiddle with so many config.
