THATS Y I WANNA SCOLD SHIGERU XD XD XD, lol, kidding la
What? U wanna scold His Royal Highness Shigeru?
Seriously, hold your breath for a Zelda in 2009, quite possible. When it is release all Zelda/Wii fans will burst out in tears, kneel and thank His Royal Highness for another favor granted. Then Nintendo will earn another tonnes of money, like they always do.

This is what happens when they suddenly inform the fans there are a new Zelda in develpoment.
Wii's succes reminds me of how the legendary Commodore 64 personal computer was so hugely successful and dominant in 1980s.
I think Nintendo's following Mr.Jack Tramiel's (founder of Commodore 64) business philosophy of 'make it inexpensive and let it flood the market'.
You have perhaps underestimated Satoru Iwata. If Nintendo were to rely solely on "Make it cheap and flood the market", XBOX 360 Arcade should be the one flooding the market now. It didn't happened.
The competition landscape in 2000s, is vastly different from the 1980s.

ya..like i said previously on ninty's thread...nintendo did a good job of identifying this target group.
So i think, if some ppl are not really into wii, it's because they're not in the target group. Just face it, parents hv more buying power compared to the kids...and when it's come to giving out gifts..they are also the most generous ones.
U don't see many friends gave away that amount of money to another friend let alone buying a friend a game console...but as a parent, grand parent, uncle...etc...money is not really an issue...and when coming out to get the console..of course the nintendo types of games and controls caught their attention the most

Also need to remember that Parents / Grandparents picked up hints from the kids / teenagers. Marketing researchers call this the "Letter's to Santa" moment, so the kids / teenagers are actually the one calling the shot for Christmas presents.
Parents don't just watch Oprah Winfrey and decided to get a Wii for their kids Christmas.

yeah..nowadays...not just oprah, Ellen Degeneres also promotes Wii
Nintendo also manages to successfuly reach out to the female gender too which b4 this, a rare species of gamer (they exists but not many going to the console)
Even my wife who was a non gamer b4 this is liking the wii n ds...that's why nintendo dominate
I notice that most of the SEGA games that are not available on 360/PS3, are available (and will be released) on the Wii. Sonic & The Secret Rings, NiGHTS, Madworld, Sonic & The Black Knight.. etc.
And also that awesome looking Capcom fighting game: 'something' Vs Capcom.. (I forgot the name.. somebody correct me)
