not sure about maybank... so far maybank2u done most of the job. no need to go to branch. as for other bank.. SCB seen not to bad.. maybe im the priority there.. haha

It's true that M2U is almost perfect. I don't have to pay any visit to the branch and I hate to do so with Maybank. I hope to settle everything from M2U and through the phone if I need to perform banking with MBB.

he ask me :

1 : how u going to use ur saving akaun?
2 : how much every month u wan save money.
3 : how much salary u have per month.
4 : our bank is taking serious on choosing people to open saving akaun..u will kena ban if u use ur saving money on ur busines things...
5 : i need to aprove by upstair people,if allow then i will call u.
6 : my bank is only see face...no see money no see card..ur face come , we can aprove ur money out..no face no money.
7 : ic pic and my face now is abit diffrent and he also kaopei kao bu say my face diffrent also cannot aprove.

i am total blur when he asking about this all stupid qeustion to me and i just kept ask him that i just wanna open a SAVING AKAUN...as i remember i total got tell him this word around 5 time...

Very weird situation. I'm not sure what's happening with Citibank, a lot got negative accounts maybe or desperate for cashflow. Maybe other forumers can help, cheers

Their tellers are slow workers. Even if a branch have many counters, only a few will be open. Their ATM and cash/cheque deposit machines are frequently out of service.

I withdrew all $$, left RM1 and let it automated close ---> may be tat's stand for ATM (automatik matongkiau) for tat bank and kiss them good bye for life.

Maybank is pathetic, BSN also, but in terms of statute maybank can be considered worst. BSN is govt owned, so in terms of money spent on upgrading all that, you really can't fault them that much. It isn't so much as to compete with private banks, but as an alternative to us.

Anyway, Maybank.

1) They do not know their products, in-bank staff, tele-CSO. Pathetic.
Happened to me:-
Wanted to get eFD, I didn't have existing FD account.
Based on M2U website explaination on eFD, opening no need to go down to bank. Everything done online, even first time opening no cert.
I applied and after 1 week nothing appear in my M2U account, no deduction. I called the CSO, they tell me need to go down to bank?!
I asked her to open up the website to read the statement for me. End up she get my home branch to call me, the home branch also ask me to go down to bank. WTF?! Honestly. End up they created a normal FD account for me and the first placement is regular FD placement, not eFD.

Stupid!

2) My brother realised that Maybank kept deducting his account for 'insurance'. So he wanted to cancel. Call the CSO, said need to write in. Wrote in, yet still deducting. Wrote in 3 times, end up still deducting, so end up just close the account.

3) CDM at my home branch, only has 1 machine, and that machine ALWAYS out of order (i assume full). Next nearest branch, same thing. Only 1 machine and ALWAYS OOO. Not to mention always have long queue on the CDM because only got 1 machine.

Maybank, Seremban 2 - my mum wants to check ex-6months bank statement but i think in the atm cannot trace back because its too 'old'. Then, the staff ask me to fill a form, give then wait for 3-5 days for processing. have to pay lagi. UNTIL NOW, no news... haha.. but i think they did not deduct my mum's money as well. and yea, i apply like 3-4 months ago..ahahaha

Maybank, Senawang - went there the first time, wants to open an savings account. They ask me to fill up the form with the require documents, sadly i did not photostat this and that. I went there during my lunch time, so no time ady i wait for the next day. I went on Friday, with all the documents to open a new account. Sadly, they told me the staff is at lunch until 2.30pm..but my lunch time finish at 1.30pm..i thought maybe its Friday, and they need to go for prayers. FINE! i went on a weekday again... then they told me the same thing.. still at lunch.. swt* 12.00 i go they lunch, so when is their lunch time actually? and y only one person in charge of savings account? Give up hope i went to BSN, sekejap kau tim. actually i'm opening a new account for my salary pay as my company dun accept CIMB. So far, dealed with CIMB in Seremban 2 and also Sabah branch, both are very good and nice.

I think maybank has the worst OTC service.

Internet banking so far so good.

CS and OTC services Maybank got to be the top, counted from the bottom. CIMB is very close to it.

Public Bank is somewhere average but they are freaking efficient. I can get my banking done fast.

As for the best, I gotta go with SCB. Haven't try Citibank yet but so far SCB impress me the most. Their online banking and iphone app Breeze is also better than M2U for me.

hard to find their ATM and CDM machine, waiting for long time to opening account (about one day waiting), online banking very slow server...

To me all banks ll hav very good service when they wan u to join them. After u become their customer, sooner or later majority of these banks ll start to ignore u cause they onli hav time to explore new market. Not baby sitting the current one.

worst service OTC has gotta be CIMB. damn slow and even few counters open also will have long wait. my advice if u deal a lot with CIMB is to get a Prime Plan account and only go to yr home branch often. they recognize u will faster service plus the prime plan account also got priority queue.
