They already built the tower, but not yet install the device. You can go Everrise and you'll spot the tower.

Right now, my area (near KFC) already install the telephone pole, and waiting patiently for phone line so i can subscribe streamyx. biggrin.gif

i am new to celcom broadband and using huawei e200 modem.
I need to do any setup?Or just plug in the sim card and modem then can online d?
BTW i just register today, so do i need to wait a few days until they activate it?
*
Just plug the modem on your computer. Wait any autorum popup and install the appropriate (dialer) program that available in the modem itself.

Then, create a connection profile in the dialer program with below information.

APN: celcom3g
Access no. :*99#

You can wait about 4 hours or you just using it straight away. smile.gif

Just now I presume Celcom was doing upgrade service in my university area, it was down for two times. However, the speed is faster now! rclxms.gif

I'm quite new here, so...hi to all notworthy.gif . Just wanna stress a point that I am so damn MAD at this point with Celcom BB. Signed up like 2 weeks ago for unlimited D98, bought Huawei E220 as the modem.

My speedtest (from Speedtest.net) is like downloading not more than 60kb and uploading less than 10kb (doing few speedtest daily)...sometimes cant even be completed. Moreover the connection sometimes (actually countless times) discontinues or timeout...1 more reason to be frustrated about, especially when I need to do conference or alike. doh.gif . zzzzz fed up with repeated clicking on the same button or links!  rclxub.gif

Seems like whenever the connection changed from HSDPA to UMTS or vice versa, the connection discontinues...or rather timeout. Do we have any solution to this? I mean the changing from HSDPA to UMTS thing. I read in few of the post about setting network as 3G only and so on, done that..just wondering if there's anything else that could be done.

sigh...was in UK for 4 years, with 24MB constant, uninterrupted broadband connection..I just hope Malaysia connection can improve by time, and of course hope people there really do their jobs..

btw, my location is Cheras KL..shows full bar UMTS/HSDPA at the Celcom interface.
*
u hv to get rid of the hand-off thing from umts to hsdpa & vice versa..it's flushing ur bandwith to zero for few seconds b4 start to rebuilding it. i'm using dopod 838 pro, so i can select to ENABLE or DISABLE hsdpa features if thing like this happens. thumbup.gif

hey guys wanna ask a few questions...i'm using a nokia e61i to surf the net using celcom 3g. now the thing is out of the sudden the access point to connect to the internet are all lost!? i mean usually they have many access point options on the phone like. "celcom 3g postpaid internet" " celcom 3g prepaid internet" "celcom 3g" "celcom 3g wap"  bla bla bla....and the usual access point i use for the phone is "celcom 3g postpaid internet"

the only option left now are "celcom 3g streaming" and "celcom 3g wap" this happened after i switch sim cards to a different phone, and when i change it back, it got this way......

the questions is

The access point that i'm using now is "celcom 3g streaming"... will celcom charge me to death if i use this access point? or is it the same? i'm using the D68 plan and a DATA only sim card by the way.

i mean will they like slap me with a huge azz bill that is more then rm68 because i'm using the wrong access point that is not part of the d68 plan?

does anyone knows how to change it back?    rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

afaik, no extra chargers anymore, unless u start clicking chargeable contents in streaming portal while browsing using ur phone

u can use "celcom 3g wap" instead of "celcom 3g internet" it's just the same if u connect ur e61 to pc/lappy coz it utilize same access point which is celcom3g. if u browse on ur phone, maybe there's some differents...

hi bro
from what i can tell if you switch sim card to new handphone
all the setting will automaticly will gone...that including GPRS, MMS, INTERNET , WAP and Streaming setting
why don't you call celcom careline to get the new setting.

and there's no charge
