However, I believe that this is usually done by the network to make way for other users.

My line is still capped but I managed to download my 200+MB series with 8 hours. laugh.gif I thought it could have taken a longer time but out of my expectation. laugh.gif

24.02.09, it seems like forever...

Yours is the D98 plan right so if you are capped then it would be 128kbps which means the maximum you can go is 16kB/s. hmm.gif

Err. Around that figure. smile.gif
But if I am surfing highly images and flashes injected sites, it can boost up to 700kbps to load the page. laugh.gif

The daily RM6 plan will get me HSDPA speeds but now I am downgraded to D68 because of the Home, Hop and Away. You can't win everything I guess.

I remembered the day when paying RM68 can get HSDPA and at full speed with no monthly cap. All big companies will adopt the same plan, keeping stockholders happy is more important than keeping customers happy. Now Celcom is looking so much like it's big brother TM.

Well with the Home, Hop and Away plan, you are paying only an additional of RM20 for a Celcom Broadband connection in which you will have mobility with it so can't complain much. smile.gif

Hi people. smile.gif
I think I have problem with my Celcom Broadband.
Most of the time I can't browse LYN and hardly post a reply.
Always disconnected and ends with blank page.
It happens only in LYN , strangely.
Is there anything that I can do to solve this problem?
Anything important that I need and should know?
Thanks in advance ya.

First we should determine if the problem is on your side or not. Have you tried using other browsers as well? Also, did this forum work for you last time or was it all along this way?

Couldn't load any pages as in the browser shows you an error message? By right you will still be able to surf like normal with GPRS but the speeds will be much lower compared to UMTS and HSDPA.
*
Yeah...the browser shows an error message...

What modem are you using? By right, you should be able to select from the Settings option and choose only UMTS. smile.gif

Well recently the forum's server has been on heavy load especially during peak hours. Even on TMNET Streamyx, sometimes it is slow browsing this forum as well.

So it is happening to this forum only right? Other websites that you browse don't have any problems at all? If that's the case you might want to note down the error messages and have the admins look into this for possible solutions.

I usually need to disconnect few times before I can successfully posted my message here. doh.gif I'll update about this later when I am using my Celcom broadband later...

It is getting late and it is Friday's night, thus it explains the speed in my campus lab:

shocking.gif First time seeing exceed 70000kbps. laugh.gif

Aargh. Labs do not open on weekends, I'm gonna get stuck with the slowband. doh.gif

Maybe the problem is with the ads on this forum as well in which Celcom Broadband has problems connecting to it. hmm.gif
