Hi I'm a new Celcom Broadband user, D98, and I was wondering if there's any way to bypass the shared IP thing? Like for Rapidshare and Megaupload.com
Thanks!

Hey people...I tried out Celcom Broadband from my room in USM (Penang) and I got connected to the GPRS one, it had 3 bars...but I couldn't load any pages...is it cos it's GPRS and not HSDPA?

QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Feb 13 2009, 12:01 AM) Couldn't load any pages as in the browser shows you an error message? By right you will still be able to surf like normal with GPRS but the speeds will be much lower compared to UMTS and HSDPA. Yeah...the browser shows an error message...QUOTE(realcheraz @ Feb 13 2009, 12:24 AM) *is a Celcom newbie* How do I lock to UMTS first? |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 13 2009, 06:08 PM) What modem are you using? By right, you should be able to select from the Settings option and choose only UMTS. It's the latest one...the Vodafone one...I'll try it later Thanks for the info! Yeaa...I was somehow tricked into getting Celcom...the promoter claimed it was unlimited, then I installed the application that comes with the modem and I saw the usage bar and went back to find the promoter the next day to ask about it... He then said oh, but it's unlimited! After you use up 5GB, your speed will be slowed down, but it's still usable! I'm starting to doubt that the speed after it's capped is still usable after reading the posts here...I'm using D98 btw.. |

QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Feb 14 2009, 01:57 PM) First of all yes it is unlimited as you can use it 24 hours and still be charged at either RM68 or RM98 monthly. The only thing is that there is the Fair Usage Policy. It can still be claimed as unlimited since you do not get disconnected nor barred from using it when you touch the limit. Yeah, but the promoter failed to mention Celcom's Fair Usage Policy when I signed up for it... |

Well that's true...about the Fair Usage Policy thing...Celcom wants the profit and about the promoters not using it for themselves...
