Well, whether or not DiGi's 3G service will be good is something questionable but one thing for sure is that DiGi will be very competitive in terms of the pricing and promotion.

Agree. DiGi is normally very aggressive in pricing and promotion. Well i'm sure lots of ppl wanna switch for DiGi n that may cause bandwidth overload. But since my Celcom BB is contractless, I wouldnt mind giving DiGi a try for couple of months once it enters my area. After all, I gave almost half a year for Celcom. More than enough time for them to improve. However, all I can see is degrading service quality. Plus calling the retards in Celcom CS is more of an emotional torture... Upgrade... Upgrade... Endlessly... They might just as well ask a programmer to write codes or record voice to repeat the same excuse over and over again I hope DiGi come up with more honest promotion theme. The misleading, overly-stated promotion from Celcom about unlimited bandwidth is evil - cant believe I fell for that... Now I can only browse light webpages and check email... Bummer... If DiGi come up with the real unlimited bandwidth, I wouldnt mind paying extra. Nevertheless, if Celcom improves, I may stick with it. The trouble with today's customers is that we r more demanding Let's just see wad DiGi will come up wif.

I think you shouldn't upgrade to D98, just bear with D68 in the mean time. From your signature, the speed doesn't really look good. Yes, D68 maximum speed is 384kbps but the latency is kinda high too. You also mentioned that you need to use autosurf to surf the Internet... My advice is stick with D68 for a while before upgrading to D98 blindly. Many are unhappy with Celcom broadband's current speed. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jan 19 2009, 05:24 AM

Your signal strength is full bar ? Not all areas are fast and now even the hotspots say Klang Valley is also slow due to congestion in my opinion.

QUOTE(thesurveyor @ Jan 19 2009, 11:04 AM) Hey, just wanna share. My connection during weekends are quite good, as compared to weekdays. By good I mean, surfing, dl/ul are within acceptable speed. I even can play online game during weekends (latency around 300-400ms which is quite good!). Any valid reason for this? Just curious Do you use it on a fixed time frame basis ? For example you will use the Internet at about 12am onwards every single day be it weekdays or weekend.

They have too many restriction and with a DL limit of 5GB for 30days, it's not worth paying RM30 for.

In my case, I think the new DNS servers got congested. Coz the new DNS servers only been online for about 2 weeks, the same time whole crop of problems popping out. But my speed should have been uncapped liao but now I am still having extremely slow speed. Or maybe another technical glitch. I just hope this will be over soon. It has been 2 weeks like this. The best speed I got 128kbps... The worst 0kbps... Now IM login got problem again... And loading pages with lots of pics always stops halfway... I bet when CNY nearing, the conditions will be much worse. Perhaps cant even go online.

Yes and no answer. Weekdays I usually use between 9pm-12am, weekends not fixed time (usually afternoon to evenings tho). If congestion is the problem, weekends should be more congested? Looks like im wrong there.

Not all areas are fast and now even the hotspots say Klang Valley is also slow due to congestion in my opinion. can't get umts or hsdpa.. Only get gprs.. Can get full bar of gprs and edge.. But the speed is very slow than traditional dialup.. Last year, can connect to umts n hsdpa.. And the speedtest can reach up to 200kbps for dl n 120 for ul.. But early this month, the speed became crazy.. I dun think it is due to congestion because the celcom broadband usage around this area is not too heavy..(juz my opinion)
