Anyone here in Penang playing with the new ATI 5000 series card yet ???

Me not yet. Next month maybe (hope so)

saw the review, nothing too spectacular as far as GTX295 is compared. I thought it would have blown the GTX295 away, but guess not quite. but of coz, for those who are thinking of upgrading their GC from the single core gpu, 5870 is da bomb atm

slightly better than 4890, but dunno how's the load temps like
since my 4890 in matx is topping 95c ++ on vram

Haha...but i think the HD5870 is substantially cheaper than the GTX295 right?
But to be honest, the HD5870 performances at high resolution is kinda dissapointing.

Maybe ATI's just keeping their best for their HD5890...(will there be one?)

The 5850 is a ncie card, being priced below RM1k, and beats the GTX285 in most of the test i've seen.
Btw, if you're using MATX, i think it'd be better if you get some serious cooling for the card, u won't want these monsters to choke due to heat.
Or easier still, run naked...or get a bigger casing like mine!!!...

the 3008 i tested before, on full 2560x1600 resolution my desktop icons are too small

But it gives you way more working space.

I used to own a 3007 HC before, and missed the space i had on a 2560x1920 desktop.
Now waiting eagerly for my 3008 to arrive...Yahoo...
