yo sifus ! i am from penang too and i am planning to get a new rig, those are the price i got from swisspac

Processor : C2D E8400 [rm 632]

Mobo : Asus P5Q3-Incl. 2gb DDR3 Ram [rm667]

Graphics : Palit HD4850 Sonic [rm704]

HDD : WD 500gb 16M Caviar Green [rm192]

Casing : CM Centurion 590 [rm236]

PSU : CM Extreme Power 650W [rm280]

Cooling : Xigmatek HDT-S1283 [rm175]

anyone can recommend better shops ? i saw the online price list of pc depot have very little parts only  sad.gif
*
from my past experience, swisspac after sales service is good... and warranty i think they do cover more than 1 years compare to most shop which is 1 year...
last time claim my almost 3 year old hdd also no service charge unlike some shops which charges service charge after 1 year of product warranty claim.
PC depot heard lot of negatives...

easier soltuion, use lower power comsumption machine when downloading... or downclock ur cpu to minimum when downloading... only OC it when u need performance... for my case i using NAS for my torrent and RS job... my PC is only on when i am studying or gaming... LOL tongue.gif

My Q9550 @3.4Ghz, doing 48c when normal usage(Browsing+movie), never checked idle. Cooled using TRUE with Lau yah AC Ryan Dead LED fan..
Previously on IFX-14, on normal usage(Browsing+movie), Stock Speed, temp was around 43c.

I'm still thinking whether to switch to WC or stick to Air...
Wah, not bad...30c only...
I look at my temps, i headache. If i push up to 3.8 (if the chip will do), that'll be a little too much for the TRUE to Handle.
*
not sure on the penryn, but wc with fuzion v2 and true120 on i7 difference are minimal... but i didnt try any true with me, just compare to others.. so mayb diff ambient gua... but in malaysia if w/o aircond temp almost same de...

oh ya, my current setup running with fans with 7v or 5v mode only with those crappy CM 90cfm fan... mayb tis the main fact it perform slightly better than the true, mayb it will better with larger radiator or higher speed fan...

so @meno, try WC la... LOL... poison~ brows.gif

Buy Darnell's Noistaker 600w...
Then when FMA come back, sell it off...tongue.gif

Btw, still thinkin of WC, let me see how 1st...
Maintaining hobbies is costly, need to split between my Camera and PC now... sad.gif
Lichyetan, any nice stuff for WC to recommend? Cheap and nice stuff.
I was earlier thinking of a budget of RM500 only for everything, but after considering getting a Fuzion V2, seems like 500 will not be enough...sad.gif

Btw, nobody go support our fellow POC member here ar?

as OC4/3 and lohwenli mentioned, either premade kits or custom kit...

my recommendation go for:
D-Tek Fuzion v2,
Swiftech MCR-220QP,
Swiftech Micro Reservoir,
Swiftech MCP-655B.

not sure the pricing though, and da kit is same as mine... i also forgot how much i bought d, radiator bought years back, same as reservoir.

but the time i get should be cheaper cause now price will be higher due to economy problem... smile.gif

can save up w/o changing the block and pump 1st... if its really not performing only change wb or pump. tongue.gif

make it just like the DELL's H2C hybrid cooling unit brows.gif

Bro, i've been wondering for some time how the H2C Hybrid works.
Could you please explain the concept so we could all benefit from it?

I've been trying to find information about it for quite sometime, but just could not get 1 unit to try dismantle and see...

I suggest u to take 920 D0 stepping, much cooler & stable than C0/C1 by huge margin.
Sadly couldn't find any shop selling D0 in mainland. GZ no stock, PCD old stock, blablabla shops don't even sell i7 proc  doh.gif
*
ya saw ur screenies over at another thread...

D0 can do 4.2-4.3, while C0 3.9-4.1 depends on ur cooling...

C0 is hot !!!, while D0 is cooler while also hot...

oh ya, owikh, ur temp using lower by how much using true120 compare to using it on C0/C1 chip...

jack kor kor working in precess.

I usually go to Swisspac, though their things are expensive, around RM30/50 extra compare to others, do note that sometimes their item are cheaper than other shop. And most important, they cover full warranty for certain item, such as ASUS or Intel, 3 years means 3 years, no extra charges will needed. Not like some other shop which cover only 1 year, rest we need to pay handling fees, eg PC Depot.

GZ offer lot of variety items, I also do shop there, but never dealt warranty with them before as things I bought from there all seems so far so good. But for swisspac, I do settle RMA issue with them few times, they really handle it without any charges after 1 year, but some item do takes time to claim and some are really fast, I guess they sometimes also accumulate some other warranty parts before sending out for RMA.

Thx for suggestion.
@.@ i a bit confuse on assu,MSI,gigabyte ......... so many brand ... which 1 is good for GPU ? and i try search many review they din talk about those brand , is that all same ?

and my fren told me ATI is good for AMD , and Nvedia is good for Intel, is it ? he suggest me about 200 series type
*
ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI etc are just different company and brand, for GPU there are reference design and custom design PCB, if reference design PCB, any brand is the same, just pick for the best warranty or cheapest, for custom design PCB, go to which one you think is the best (OC'ed, Good Cooling, and other features ).

Is not true, ATI doesnt mean it will run worst on Intel platform, same goes to Nvidia. Its depends on driver and games u played... some game ATI perform better and some nvidia perform better... i guess its all up to the software and game engine to utilize the hardware.
