I can't trade for US stocks.
Called itrade CS. They said that my W-8BEN form has expired.
Thus suspended my access since 2014. sweat.gif

Hi, i have an itrade account that was created last year but i never used it, so i have some questions as below:

1) My account is non margin, so it is 1x cash right? So does it mean this account can't buy IPO?
2) To transfer money to the trade account, i need to go to edeposit. How long does it take to transfer the money through this process? I heard if it is from other banks, it will be shown only on the next day. If from CIMB, is it instant?
3) I also have a CIMB basic savings account but i can't see the share account there? Is it normal?

My comparison from 2 and 3 is based on MBB. In Maybank, i will transfer the money to the share account and in a few minutes i can see it already, so i want to confirm about CIMB.

The CDS belongs to the investment bank.
Better call CS for confirmation.

Anyone noticed the analysis chart of iTrade is very buggy?

For example, the stock that I have been monitoring, FPI, was hovering around 1.8~1.83 after it released QR report on 20/2, and then drop to 1.70 on 3/4. However, on the analysis chart it became 1.69~1.71 range in the same period.

Any idea why? Is this a bug?

you mean after dividend the share price will be adjusted ? But how come the share price will be adjusted? I thought only additional share issuance will cause price adjustment.

When I compared other chart supplier and compare with the chart from iTrade, other chart wasn't adjusting the share price.

--Edit--
Maybe my english not good and didn't convey the message correctly.
What I mean is that ...

I have monitored the share price of FPI, it was approximately as below:
This is consistence with chart from other supplier.
20/Feb ~ 2/Apr Price is in the range of 1.79~1.83
3/Apr - Price is 1.70

However on iTrade, the price is not consistence with my observation.
20/Feb ~ 2/Apr Price is in the range of 1.71-1.69
3/Apr - Price is 1.70

Is this cause by share price adjustment ?

Stock prices on ex-date

The stock price usually decrease on the ex-dividend date by an amount roughly equal to the dividend paid. This reflects the decrease in the company's assets resulting from the declaration of the dividend.
--- For example, when a dividend of $1,000,000 is declared (e.g. 6 sen per share), distributed and paid, the corporation’s cash is reduced by $1,000,000 and its retained earnings (part of stockholders’ equity) is reduced by $1,000,000. Due to the reduction in the corporation's cash/equity, it's stock price is also reduced accordingly (as the company's stock price is a reflection of it's assets (which including it's cash). If the stock price was RM 1.50, it would be RM 1.44 (RM 1.50 - 0.06) after the dividend is allocated.

Dividend : 6 sens
Ex-date : 20/5/2009
In-dividend date share price (19/5/2009): RM 1.50
Ex-dividend date share price (20/5/2009): RM 1.50 - 0.06 = RM 1.44
