If you don't have money in your trust account, you could not trade (buy) right? Unless you have a margin account?
Correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you. |

Session is referring to an instruction for Morning or Afternoon session depending when you submitted the request.
Day is referring to one particular trading day (let's say you punch the order today). Good to date is referring to an instruction that is going to be expired till the date you selected. |

QUOTE(Irzani @ Nov 25 2008, 04:51 AM) My job only to select the stock, put the shares quantity and choose either buy or sell. The payment will be settled by the dealers on the T+3. So, I wonder what is the point of having those settlement button? Not sure about Settlement but I use e-Settlement to clear my outstanding using the trust money or online fund transfer. |

QUOTE(Irzani @ Nov 25 2008, 01:08 PM) Apply? No need to apply. It's already there. You can clear your outstanding and ensure that your trust money has enough money. Otherwise, you need to settle using the method similar to e-Deposit.What I don't like about e-Deposit is that the lead time is not fast (short) enough. QUOTE(POYOZER @ Nov 25 2008, 01:47 PM) Yes. Min deposit is RM 1000 for first time trading. |

QUOTE(Irzani @ Nov 25 2008, 08:33 PM) Maybe I'm a little confuse here, my money is to put into the trust account, so the dealer said they will settle all the payment as long my balance is enough. I call them and they said no need to do anything. But, since it always make me make feel uncomfortable due to their late payment that always in the last day, I wish that I could use the E-Settlement button. So, did you put your money into the trust account too or there's some option that I miss while registering before? First, I load money to my trust account using e-Deposit.Then, after T+3 if I bought any share, I'll settle it using e-Settlement. I didn't wait for dealer to do that for me. Maybe I'm not aware of this since I'm still newbie with the system. |

QUOTE(DarkForXe @ Nov 26 2008, 11:01 AM) why is it that after i buy any share, the cimb only send me an email to inform me to pay all the money. I thought it is directly deducted from the trade account? I still have to pay it manually? It's just a notification - buy, sell , T+3 oustanding. I believe these are the 3 system generated emails. This is somekind of borrowing, right? I thought this only apply to those who buy 3X their total amount they have in trade account. |

QUOTE(Irzani @ Dec 2 2008, 10:56 PM) So, does it mean from Thursday until Tuesday, those ITrade user couldn't do anything if they want to buy stocks? Let's assume all the money already spent in the last stock and they are waiting for the latest payment .. isn't there anyway to buy using ITrade rather than calling the dealer to buy it? As you know, the rate is little higher .. I'm not sure about calling the dealer portion. What I know if there's no credit showed in the BUY form, then you cannot buy it till you deposit money to your trust account. |

I believe somebody did mention about the account type earlier.
Perhaps you could only "loan" if you have applied for margin account or facility. |

Thank you, trainee06 for the wonderful explaination. You work at CIMB?
By the way, for: QUOTE However, they don't have the price averaging. I'm assuming you're referring to CIMB itrade not CIMBClicks. For example, you key in buy 100 units of stock X, then you key in another 300 units of stock X. If you have price averaging it will combine two order, you will have one purchase contract 400 units of stock X. (your brokerage, stamping, and clearing fees on charge one time) A little further clarification needed. Do you mean the averaging will be done if you placed two seperate BUY instructions on the same day or what? How does the averaging be applied? By the way, does i-trade down in the afternoon session? I got error message of maintenance. Thank you. |
