i believe if he is gonna study in the UK, he should already have a local address?

how much is the edu price in UK ? anyone know ? for example the 15" 2.8GHz . it seems that only uk apple store requires you to enter the edu apple store by university network ... But i could call them though.

Yeah i will be going to uk this 18th sept . I already gotten my accommodation address. but I couldnt order now right ? as they would ship it the next day . However the free ipod touch offer is going to end on 8th sept ... hmphz... dilemma now

2.8ghz 15" 1699 pound = 9854 ( 5.8 rate) ... it is 8499 from malaysia apple store.

I wonder how much would it be after edu discount ? Im curious how much cheaper would it be in UK after edu discount.

Really jealousy singapore, edu can get free ipod touch, singapore just beside malaysia, why singapore has this offer, why malaysia dont has ......

i think is apple fault coz their require something like verify from singapore apple store but not in malaysia, of coz malaysia will abuse , and anyone around the world will abuse

not necessarily apple's fault here, think about it even in Malaysia our higher institution even IPTS are mushrooming like crazy,some dont even have LAN accreditation and often students are in a limbo once graduated,its a mess, how is apple to regulate something that ist black and white as this?. In Singapore all the private government institution are well rounded,not con jobs etc etc, so its easier to manage. The thing with discounts is that anyone whos greedy will definitely abuse and take advantage of it, thank fully not anyone is like that.

are you guys saying they dont verify whether you are student if you buy from malaysia apple store ?

SL prices can be obtained from store.apple.com/my. Also, it's up to U if u wanna do an upgrade or a clean install. I did a clean install on mine but I'm on a brand new MBP so it doesn't really make much difference for me *smiles*

since its not much different, you can just choose to upgrade. if you still want to go for clean install, prepare an ext hdd for backup lo.

yes it will verify, they will send officers to your school and as well as to your house to make sure you are qualified
