this is just a dvd rip into mkv movie....350MB files. More than sufficient for me to watch latest movie without breaking my bank for buying cinema tickets.....

a bluray mkv is good too but too much time wasted waiting...

Good things comes to those who wait. Frankly, i don't even want to watch those 700MB files anymore...looks like pirated DVD quality.

I want 5.1 surround and Hi-Def. The way it is meant to watch.

Furthermore, with mkv, even re-watching the movies is fun as it's a joy just to oogle at the hi-def quality.

I can wait. It took me about 1 month+ to download about 5 hidef movies...no problem. Next batch hopefully completing in another month time.

nod.gif

PS: I do BT. Since dun have RS or MU account. Anyone knows where to buy cheap RS premium account pls PM me. TQ.

Well, lets just put it this way, for those who have the moolah to spend or at least knows the meaning of infringement & piracy, will go for BD. Those peasants who can't afford BD, MT2S files is here for them. Well, at least they won't feel like a loser in everything, HDD is cheap nowaways.

ori disc owners may also backup their expensive discs and use M2TS to playback mah,
also the forward trend is Video servers, so loading individual discs to watch a movie is a thing of the past.. or you could setup multi room system using HDD based M2TS movies..

It applies to new accounts, if your is created for a few months before this, it wont be affected.

Anyway, whatever it is, any downloads exceeding 2.66GB will automatically deduct from the Traffic Share and points.

Question, is playing the mkv files (converted) on PS3 better or playing the original mkv from the WD TV player?

converted from MKV to M2TS is just change the "wrapper" only (REMUX).. the codecs like H264 are still untouched on a PS3 playable file format..

I've had a premium since the original Rapidshare.de and when Rapidshare.com was created, free premium accounts were given to Rapidshare.de users. So I'm one of the first registered users at Rapidshare.com. thumbup.gif

That's right. If you use a remux technique, no conversion was done, only taking the video codec and put it into a new container/header. I like to call it as "salin baju". laugh.gif

yes step down means output dts to stereo internally

bro did u read what i wrote ... hdx1000 cannot do it too... only dvico 4100 and 6500a...

hdx1000 will be able to do it when they update the firmware with the function, which they have promise since september (at least they have letter from dts for prove) but till now zippo naada nothing....
*
Correction: at the moment the HDX-1000 can downmix DTS when flashed with the popcornhour firmware. HDX is still promising to support downmixing in their own version of the firmware, it depends upon licensing from DTS. Definitely the HDX hardware is capable of this.

Hi ppl, I just got my WDTV last night. Wanted to ask if anyone knows how to disable the audio output via the HDMI and only output the audio via the composite red and white cables?? Reason is because I'm connecting the WDTV unit to my PC speakers for audio while HDMI for video.

Use the mute function on yr tv. Don't think there is possible to disable the audio on HDMI output.
