Use the mute function on yr tv. Don't think there is possible to disable the audio on HDMI output.
*
Yeah, that's what I'm doing at the moment. Turn down the volume until 0 because the mute function on my TV will display the Mute icon for as long as the TV is muted. Worry about IR on my plasma. biggrin.gif .... Thanks for your feedback though.

Hi ppl, I just got my WDTV last night. Wanted to ask if anyone knows how to disable the audio output via the HDMI and only output the audio via the composite red and white cables?? Reason is because I'm connecting the WDTV unit to my PC speakers for audio while HDMI for video.

1. my plasma tv can set to off the internal speakers. try looking for this setting
2. worse come to worse, turn down the volume of your TV

I don't think there's such setting on the Panasonic plasma though (or maybe I haven't mess around with it to discover this setting yet biggrin.gif ) . But I'll just turn down the volume to 0 for now every time when I watch mkvs on the WDTV.

I'm getting a 1TB Buffalo Drive Station 3.5" for RM395. That's the cheapest 1TB external HDD I can find around Penang. Anyone knows where to get cheaper 1TB external HDDs??

U need hi-end receiver, speakers, BD player, and ori BD which cost $$$$.

MKV can do 90% of the quality at 0.09% of the cost...brows.gif
