i have a really sad story to share...

my gf guinea pig just die 3 hours ago..very sad...its day because of my gf careless..the gp named torres..i gave to her as a present....2 days ago..torres already ill coz my gf put him beside window..when she is not at her room..its start raining heavily and put torres in the rain..but yesterday it comeback active...hepy like usually..

but..this afternoon..my gf gave him a shower..i already told him gp not suppose to take shower everyweek..mayb once a month..but she never listen...last week he shower the gp..and then this evening she shower again..and mayb bacause torres is just comback to healt after ill coz of the rain..he start to really get sick this evening...he cant move at all..at that time..and not near my gf..im at shah alam..he call me that torres is sick..she dont know what to do...and then she said what to take to vet..i said ok..but then when i came back..she said he just bring torres to a local pet shop..the pet shop owner gave torres a medicine...so i wait her to cameback..but when he come back and see ...he said torres is sleeping after drink the suppliment..but when i hold torres..i said..torres is already die...and she start to crying like her dad past away..she blame her self...i cant stop my self to cry because torres is really good pet..i rotate to take care of torres during his lifetime...after that...we go to the garden that we alwiz bring torres to play...and buried him there..10.30pm just now..really sad.my gf cant stop crying and blame herself..but i found that torres died not because of the illness...my gf said torres cought a lot after take the suppliment and seems cant breath..after that i realize..torres die because he cant breath coz the pet shop owner force him to take the suppliment with a "picagari"...
really like want to burn the local pet shop...very sad...

torres...rest in peace...!gonna miss the sound that u make begging for a food averytime i open the room door..

Sorry for your loss of Torres.

Sigh...usually when GP is sick or unwell...it's condition will deteriorate very fast within 12 hours. But my best guess is it must be something the petshop fed that caused its death.

Torres RIP~ Let this be a lesson to everyone~ GP's are not to be taken lightly Please go to a proper VET and not a petstore T.T A good vet would be Dr Jenny from Hands n Paws.. Tyco and GF... both of you should cheer up what is pass is pass.. think that torres is now at a happy place

no offense and sorry to say but ur gf ignorance really make ur torres suffer so much ,i dun deny that the pet shop was part of it also but the way ur gf handle torres is just a matter of when only

anyway, that's experience... i believe that is human error...
not to blame u, but... i also learned from my mistake too

they are nice to look at when they eat, sleep, and run in the wheel but certainly not when they start biting you.

Feel sorry for the dead GP , but for future references,let me state the obvious.

Pets makes a VERY BAD gift/present. Especially if the one who receives it had not done her homework or own one before. Never gives away pets as a present.

Added on March 1, 2009, 12:36 pmWell, some GPs are natural bitter...I read a book abt it before...so wat we can do it train them lo...i kena before wat I did is hit its cheek and tell it no...after a few times they know it is a no no for them to do it...one of my GPs bite me when she is hungry and ask for food...Funny...I find that their vision is not really good...sometimes i am near to them and they still blur blur look at me until I touch them only they know I am around...

I test them when I come back from work I dun talk they dun wheek when I start to call them wow start to wheek like kids want milk like tat haiz....They are still babies...I want to teach them tricks...but i guess better dun. I kena pee again last night when I hold Bugsy...thanks to my Bf Colin la... He just and then ask me to take my gps back. Sekali on my lap....wah why so hot one....alamak...kena "lim teh" ar.... It dun make sound one...it just buang like tat~~

Can take pic for me ar? I think i gonna find some replacement for my bedding...it is too messy for me to takecare of....thinking of something easy to clean and wont hurt their tiny feet. Does Cody feeling better now? Still got bite you ma?

How can the petshop simply force feed the GP with the "med"? Even vets, many are not certain about what medication to give to these lil creatures. The fact is that small animals market are smaller so not many manufacturers are willing to invest heavily to find appropriate cures for these small cute lil creatures.

"IF" you guys planned to do at FLUFF, you are most welcome. Just acknowledge our staffs in advance so that you wouldn't set a date crashing with other parties, also we can be more well prepared to make the environment more suitable for small animals.
