Haha, young GP you got there. Maybe you can suggest your GF to use wood base bedding instead of recycle paper. And beside feeding them pellet, you can also feed them timothy hay and alfalfa hay. A paper box won't last long for your GP, they will destroy it when they feel confortable with the surrounding. The cage can be decor with some simple chew toy for them, it will give them plenty of fun and di-stress. They need to chew, you can easily get lots of chew toy in any pet shop near you.

This info chins give me

A GP is under 6 months you feed = 80%Alfalfa + 20% timothy.
Above 6 months = Slowly change to 50% Alf + 50% Tim
After 12 months = 100% Timothy + occasional alfalfa
Adult GP (12 months) seen no appetite = 20% alfalfa + combination of any grass hay.

keep your hay high and not on the floor. Poke holes in the bag <--- this also chin teach me

Erm colin what i meant poke holes in the bag is when you storing the hay XD (when its not being served in the cage) come come share with us the pics

Yes, you will enjoy seeing your pet eating, especially hay. Your hay rack is inside the cage or outside the cage?

Glad to hear your GP is getting confortable with his enviroment. time to grow big.

I also saw lots of ppl having their GPs staying together with rabbits, kind of weird to me even tho their not fighting. They eat in the same bowl, pee in the same area, even sleep together!

i use johnson baby shampoo dilute in the water...

i guess not yet...   as he will wheek if i pass by the cage...but just sometimes...most of the time he will hide in his dome....but he get more familiar with my dog...why i say this is because even my dog bark at him, he still can popcorning and eating....   weird fella....   only that day after bath him, he stay quietly on my lap let me to blow dry and pet him...he always very scare if i wan to catch him out of the cage....

I got to check it one more time....if it's flea, it should be moving? 

Juztiny, the anivision can cure flea or not? really can't wait to get the shampoo from u!!! as I am worried if it's really flea, it might move to my dog's body as well....

Sluis was about RM26+ or so (cant remember) >_< .. its in a black box. I havent given this to my GP's yet.. just bought it.. but i heard many good things about this diet. That's why i decided to give it a try. I bought it from Pet safari i think there is a few pet shops that carry this brand.

I kept rabbit before.  The key differences are:-

Rabbit does not required high vitamin C at all time.  GP does.
Male rabbit  bites - 90% GP doesn't.

LIMIE feed this brand, if I'm not mistaken.

This brand is quite expensive as compared to Hagen.  But I don't know why it doesn't have the green freshness smell like Hagen pellets have. 

Last time I wanted to buy this brand when I read the marketing text on the net.  Sound very good and nutritious.  After I had seen the real pellets, I'm not convinced it is any better than Hagen pellets with its higher price.

Thats why we need to rotate their food often.. cant eveyday be same menu same like us.. if eat nasi lemak everyday... sure beh tahan rite XD

colincsf>> i suggest to quickly change the food, as the content of the previous food you gave them are not good for GPs. nuts and grains especially. i did bought and gave my gp the exact brand you gave to them long ago, and my gp have bad experienced with kuaci...when she try to eat it the kuaci stuck between her teeth and upper lip...she struggle like crazy until i oso became mega-panic.... they oso did not gain weight as much as a growning GP should, i guess its because lack of nutrition. other from Hagen pallets and timothy/alfalfa hay, you should gave them some fresh fruits too, for vit C you dont have to gradually change the food, just completely remove the old food and replace the pellets, they will learn to eat by themselves. Hagen pellets are good as they the pellets have fresh sweet smell that might lure ur gp to eat it.  

Hagen pellet is i think 1 of the best for gp.
1) coz its easier to get the Sluis/Kaytee/Prestige/other brands plus its reasonable price too
2) cos of the size>>big and crunchy pellets GP love to chew on, can help trim their teeth oso
3) the smell of fresh ingredient>> the pellets are in secure-sealed bag, easy to store, and you can smell the sweet freshness on the pellet, they smell like green, fresh hay. even if i open the pellet bag far from my GP they oso can smell and wheek2...begging for it haha

Since you mentioned that they are a pair, most likely the female doesn't want the male one to hump (rape) her, so fight lor....

I have seen that happen in my own GPs,  as long as they are not fight till bleeding , just let them be, eventually the male one have to respect the female's decision not to have sex lor....
