Hi guys, been reading all the thread here...learn alot here...I got 2 GP last few days and they are still very scare and shy towards me...One of them even pee on me...Wow..really panic when it did that to me.I told the pet shop sales man I wan 2 females but now i felt that both seem like a couple...I dun dare to hold them and turn them over cos it will make the squeak...then one of the GP got lice and how to get rid of it...pls help...Awaiting for some expert 's advise...

I am familiar with dogs and this is first time get to learn to takecare of new pet and my housemate tot i am a little over care for my GPs...i tend to worry when staying outside too long worry they will afraid and lonely...hahaaha sound like crazy woman~~

n3sbaby & SugarCoatedCandy , thank you for the encouragement and the advise. Yeah I am also a new owner of the GP same like me just 3 days old owner...hahaha. I do not have dogs. Having 2 GPs was like having bunch of dogs now...kekeke...overprotective owner that is why sometimes felt so stress when the GP shy away from me...I will try my best to face the stress and spend more time with them... gambateh to all new owners~~

It is fun to see them eating and chasing each other. I saw one of my GP start scratching all the time so was wondering is that lice on it...so one day I bring it close to me and brush her with toothbrush and saw a white long tiny lice on top of its head...and I pull it out and "matikan" it.kekekeke...tomorrow I guess I need to shop for the bathing sand and also the lice medication...sad see them scratching all the time...

Hello all, I wanna ask usually where do u put ur cage? I put on the floor and guess they are very scare when ppl walking around then cage cos we seem so huge to them. Will try to put on table and see how it goes...They are hiding away all the time...so i have no choice to give them treat to make the out from the box...They have know how to recognise my voice so sweet...a little comfort when they finally accept me...at first very stress...

Sugar, thanks for sharing. Well, my gps are a little "sai tam" sikit sikit scare one...maybe I will buy a 3 tier cupboard to put the cage and the foods below the cupboard. 2 in one.Kids sure likes GPS..they are really sweet animals...love them day by day...

Well, finally my GPs are not so shy towards me...Bugsy is more brave now...able to eat when i look at it and talk to them...Bubble is more shy always hide in a box when see me around...Oh yeah I saw bugsy do popcorning this morning so cute...hahah swing the bottom and jump up....hahahai cant laughs too loud cos housemate still sleeping...but i am glad finally they are comfortable with their cage...and even bubble getting fatter now...:)Bugsy pula...more fatter than before...

Yeah but I read some books saying do not put them together or else they will fight. It will depend on their behaviour.
I put the hay in the cage which there is a rack where we put the hay in there.The will just stand on their hind legs and try to reach the hay...yes...they can grow very fast. I saw in you tube all their piggies are like little puppy...scary..I wonder will my gps will grow till that size?Usually take how long to look like a cuddle puppy size?Hahaha....

Yeah I saw you tube many ppl cook them as main dishes...pity...usually I dun watched these it will make my heart real pain...I have these 2 gps already good enough...so i guess wont get another new pet at the moment...due to my shift job better stay with wat I got now...Happy with it..

Last night trying to clear the poos and let my GPs on the floor for exercise...after I clean the cage and clear the poos...I picked up Bugsy and want to put her into the cage and she open her mouth so wide than i can see her teeth...and gnaw on my finger....luckily I "shim" fast enough or else will going to see doc then...no sound from her she just bite me.this is second time lo... Then Bubble is always hide in a box whenever I near the cage. Only food time they will come near me very near indeed... Wai sek chu~~ Both have so much different character...

I see some ppl put a pot of plant in the cage dor the GPs to eat so anyone have any idea which plant is suitable for them?

My Bugsy not scare of me that much just she dun like being pick up...Then Bubble always hide in the box....only food make it come out...tis Fri might bring them to vet to check the sex and check the health condition...I realise that both of my GPs getting chubby now...hahahaa at least i know I feed the right food...

Hahaha...i tried once and one is Y shape on Bugsy and round round on Bubble so I assume they are couple la...hahaha I will need to try again la but they squeak when I turn them over....and they will start to complain like aunty at me....

GPs, know how to choose they fave food...watever they like they hamtam all those left out are their enemy food...hahahaha

I am curious can GPs poo can be plant fertilizer?If can then i can start to grow some plants lor...small portion first...

BUT when you grow it your self, you need to make sure the mold does not form, this need your enviroment and some experience to achevied that. Get a 2-3 inc tray, poke hole, put in to soil, soak your grain for 4 hours, sprinkle on top of the soil, cover with newspaper, wait till sprout, take out for sun, water daily ONCE. 7-8dyas later harvest
