maybe the more the better bro..i just read it in review..then i try at 3.6Ghz..a lot of improvement..but i guess at 4.5Ghz it will score better..
experience is the best thing i would have..if u experience improvement after it goes more than 3.6Ghz,yes,u are right..need moar processing power..

i think the most ideal clock speed for processor is 4.0ghz.that should not bottleneck the whole system.

first improvement on gpu is rams
the main improvement u gain from 3.6 is actually on ure ram

last time did the comparison of 800 CL3 1T and 900 CL3 1T 2x1gb..vs 1000 Cl4 2T and 1200 CL5 2T
on the fastest mem platform that time which was the 680 ....

the baseline scores will increase...
and also did with the x6800
450x8
400x9
and 300x12

it all points out the gc has more gains on mem for fps.
games that are more static like rts games require a lot of cpu
most fps games are gc/mem bound...

i just bought two 4850GS less than a week ago and guess what...no coupon discount laa...

my 4870GS i finally sent back to skcs1985 -> CEX. now they testing the card.... hope i get i back by ASAP... no gaming is killing me.....

its not becoz of the gfx, its becoz of the game...

u go back to the game setting> display setting > change overall setting to (ultra high/high/etc)

i also had this for a while, its happened when u changed the dx setting in farcry 2, after changed the dx setting u also need to change the overall setting, apply it and restart the game...

you`re right rd33. i changed the AA settings to 0 and everything returned to normal. the weird part was that i had AA enabled before, (i didn`t change anything since i started playing the game) and nothing like that happend. strange...
