Also, US law & UK law is different. M'sia is based on UK law. So why study US law. If you wanna study law, better go to Australia / UK.

Then yes, of course you can TRY to do that (but remember, getting H1B working visa will be a gamble)
Also, you gotta need a Bachelor's Degree, LSAT, Law school interviews etc. |

Apply like how you would for other schools, it's just that they may be more selective (note: MIT and Stanford are not in the list but as we know, their acceptance rate is even lower compared to some of the ivies). I assume you know that you will have to take the SAT, SAT II and TOEFL before applying.but how do u apply for ivy league n such. there's only 7 ivy leagues university. top ivy league universitys are, Brown University Columbia University Cornell University Dartmouth College Harvard University University of Pennsylvania Princeton University Yale University As for what these ivies are looking for in applicants, it is very subjective. |

QUOTE(P.I.M.P @ Nov 19 2008, 01:23 PM) You should compare the purchasing power in every country instead of the price of things. How much stuff you can buy with a dollar. That's what matter most. i AM talking about purchasing power. buck for buck, living cost in most cities in the UK is comparable to australia. big australian cities like sydney and melbourne can be more expensive than the UK (except for london, edinburgh or birmingham). |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Aite thats cool I just wanna clarify. Because 99% of the people I know always think of earning foreign currency and convert to spend in M'sia. YES, that is great to know that you're earning much more. But one have to consider the living expenses abroad. For example, they have to understand if they earn USD, they will have to spend USD. Therefore, one have to talk in terms of purchasing power. Not like "our leaders", always compare petrol prices in S'pore & M'sia. So frustrating to listen to those comments |

Is it because Blair's dream school is Yale (referring to your avatar, lol)?but for ivy u must ace in ur SAT , ur personality, and probably u need alot of $$$ too. its not easy to get in. i personally like yale the most. but no, its very hard to get in. guess, i could just dream about it then,. SAT score is not the only criterion for selection. I know of someone who only got 1200 (older format, out of 1600) who got into Cornell too. I don't think he scored high in TOEFL as well because he was required to take special writing classes when he first arrived. But you are absolutely right that Ivy League schools' tuition fee are much higher. |
