saw my fren got a Nokia 5800 (which i had 1 month ago). nice added app, where it has shortcuts, speed dials and customized main menu.

i told him i plan to get the omnia and he said samsung has lots of problem, esp the LCD - yikes!

his samsung LCD (think the SGH series) went went KO just after the 1yr warranty period.

not sure want to get the omnia now as it 99% LCD and it will be used 24/7 and this phone is not 1 year yet until july 09....hmmmmm

5800 is nice n cheap... but to me symbian is not enough... if you want a phone that "perform like a phone" can consider 5800...hehe biggrin.gif
i had no confident in samsung's phone too... i worked with Samsung Malaysia b4, liked all their products desides handphone... but this OMNIA thing changed my thoughts.. this is a really good product...

of course one in a few hundred will face issues with their omnia...
no big deal to me...
as far as i know, she manage to claim the warranty tru FMG...should not be any complaint there...u cant xpect 100% defectless in mass production.
as far as i know, samsung is famous in giving one-one exchange for phone defects..
so y not samsung??
5800 is symbian like, not to mix up with winMo here...
basically dahool,u haven't got urself an omnia n questions u asked can be easily found when u really do have an omnia on hand... no offence

no worries, no offence taken smile.gif
just concern, that spending over RM2k++ PPC and need to face all these issues.

as I mentioned 3.2LCD and you are using every day, the MTBF must be more than 5 yrs.

MTBF = Mean Time B/w Failure, I am in the manufacturing line and 2/10 defects (20%) is really high for samsung.

no offence samsung owners.

it will reduce the resolution n quality of the photo when you take it in Panorama mode.

1. turn on WDR
2. reduce exposure to -1
3. for that amount of sunlight, lowest iso is the best
4. white balance change to sunny or cloudy for a nicer effect
